I bought this screaming hand 7.8x 31 for my 4 year old daughter for her first skateboard, she loves it the board it has a good shape nice concave and I love the matte finish. My order came fast and everything was there with no issues. Santa Cruz always has great products

I skated from the mid 80s-early 90s, so grew up skating "shaped" boards. My first ever complete was a SC Jeff Kendall. I never skated popsicles prior to starting back about a year and half ago. With it being a very standard shape these days, I figured I'd give one a try. All of my decks measured 10" wide back in the day, so I looked for the widest popsicle I could find, which was 9". It felt skinny, but I adapted. The one thing I didn't like is that it measured out to over 33". Since then, I've been looking for a wider popsicle that measures 32" or under. I skated an 8. 5 Creature Gravette VX, which has an amazing pop. But, it still felt small. With some time, I got used to it, but still wanted something a bit wider. I tried a shop deck that was supposed to be 9x32, but the specs were off. The width was correct, but everything else measure out longer, resulting in a 32. 5 actual length. That's not too bad, but the tail was also super mellow, so I returned that deck and went with this SC Screaming Hand instead. I'm glad I did. For starters, the spec dimensions are bang on. I love that it's just under 32". It feels more nimble and natural; and the width is so close to a 9", yet feels noticeably different from the 8. 5 Creature. The concave feels pleasantly mellow, and the kicks have a nice steepness, with a very nice pop. Paired with some Th*nder lights, this board is really light. I'm really glad the other deck didn't work out and I got this Santa Cruz. In addition to how nice it feels under my feet, the graphic is also classic Jim Phillips. Awesome

Bought this board as a build for my son. He is 14 and has autism. After building the board with me he literally kissed it and was ready for som new adventure! We have been to the skate park and the other skaters welcomed him in like I knew they would As a former skater (to old and out of shape now) lol this board is not only giving him exercise and teaching him balance but has opened up some new friends. As for the board it’s self, the other skaters each took turns showing him trick with it all loved it . They got some great air with ollys and kick flipps

What can be said about the classic dot that hasn't already been said? Right out the box, this thing was built to skate, and I've been having a blast out on the streets and the skate parks with this board. I admit to being a bit of a beginner, but this board is high quality, and in my practice ollies, comes up with a good bit of pop. It's a Santa Cruz classic, and I love it.

Two months ago I turned 50 and decided to start skating. Used a beater for the first few weeks and this board is what I decided on for my first official ride. I never thought I would get a popsicle, but I love the shape. At 6' and (still) over 200 lbs. the 8. 8" feels comfortable so far. Solid board with nice pop. The Screaming Hand is a classic logo that needed to go on top of the board as well! It went on it's first mini ramp yesterday and did very well!

NHS produces quality products. I have always been satisfied with their Hardgoods and Softgoods. This deck is designed as a wider shape with an agile 14.25 wheelbase. Deck has a traditional wood feel and pop with just enough give but not soggy feeling.
