Luxurious 1.4" Plush Pile Height
The pile height refers to the length of the rug fibers from the backing to the tip. Our Silk-Cloud series features a generous 1.4-inch high pile, categorized as a "Shag" rug. Why this matters: This extra height creates a dense, cloud-like surface that provides superior cushioning and warmth underfoot. While higher pile rugs are significantly softer and more luxurious than low-pile options, they do require specific care to maintain their fluffiness and are best suited for low-traffic relaxation zones like bedrooms and nurseries.

Restoring the Fluff: Vacuum Packaging Guide
To ensure eco-friendly shipping, your high-pile rug may arrive in a vacuum-sealed bag. Upon opening, the rug may appear thinner than 1.4 inches, and the sponge layer may feel compressed. This is temporary. The Fix: simply shake the rug out vigorously to loosen the fibers and lay it flat. Please allow 48 to 72 hours for the high-density memory foam and velvet fibers to fully expand and recover their original 1.4-inch plush thickness.

Shag rugs require a gentler touch than standard carpets
The "Shake" Method: For daily dust, take the rug outside and shake it vigorously. This is the most effective way to dislodge dirt from deep 1.4-inch fibers without damaging them. Vacuuming: If you must vacuum, turn off the beater bar (rotating brush) or use a "hard floor" setting. High-powered rotating brushes can snag and pull out the long velvet fibers. Spills: Blot liquid spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub, as this can mat the high pile.

Loose Fibers & Shedding Tips
Minimal Shedding Design: Our premium microfiber is engineered to be low-shedding compared to traditional wool rugs. However, it is normal to find some loose fibers initially due to the cutting process during manufacturing. The "Snip, Don't Pull" Rule: If you see a loose thread or loop standing up above the 1.4-inch pile, do not pull it by hand, as this may unravel the weave. Simply snip the loose fiber level with the rest of the pile using a pair of sharp scissors. This will not damage the rug and keeps it looking pristine.

Dining Room: Table & Seating Capacity
The rug's shape and size should accommodate both the table and the chairs. The Rule of Thumb: Ensure all four legs of every chair stay comfortably on the rug, even when pulled out. The rug should extend at least 24 inches beyond the table's perimeter, leaving about 18 inches of bare floor space from the walls. Small Dining (2-4 People): A 5' x 7' rug is suitable. Large Dining (6-8 People): Opt for an 8' x 10' or 9' x 12' rug. Square Tables (4-6 People): A 7' or 9' round rug can beautifully unify the room’s style.

Living Room: Create a Coordinated Aesthetic
Size is key to anchoring your seating area. Aim to leave about 18 inches of floor space around the rug's edges. 5' x 7' Rug: Best for smaller spaces; keep all furniture legs off the rug. 8' x 10' Rug: Place the front legs of your sofa and chairs on the rug's outer edges to ground the space. 9' x 12' Rug: All furniture should sit entirely on the rug to create a cohesive and high-end atmosphere. Remember, a larger rug keeps the room feeling balanced and expansive.

Bedroom: Focus on the Bed Size
The bed is the primary consideration for bedroom rug placement. Twin Beds: The rug should be large enough to extend 18-24 inches beyond the front and sides of the bed. Full-Size Beds: A 5' x 7' rug is recommended, placed perpendicular to the bed to ensure it is visible on all sides. Queen & King Beds: An 8' x 10' or 9' x 12' rug is ideal. For King beds, remember: "The bigger, the better." A rug that is too small can disrupt the visual harmony and create an awkward look.

Why Your Package May Look Smaller: Smart Shipping
Secure & Efficient Delivery: To ensure your 1.4-inch high-pile rug is delivered securely and efficiently, larger sizes may arrive folded in a more compact package. This reduces the risk of damage during transit and allows for easier handling when it reaches your doorstep. Initial Appearance: Please do not be dismayed if the box seems smaller than expected. Once unfurled, your rug will expand to its full, grand dimensions. Any temporary fold lines from the compact packaging will naturally vanish within 48-72 hours as the fibers relax and the high-density backing settles.
