Hi. I currently use a white soft plastic basket to catch hair, so I know exactly how much hair it should catch. I tried the tubshroom instead last time I washed my hair and the amount of hair was significantly less, so I can only assume the rest went down the drain. So I went back to using the basket contraption instead.

Years ago when this product came out, i had purchased two of them. They were very sturdy and held up, except for the fact that they got black mold? all over them and couldn't really be cleaned very well. Now i order them again and when i went to put it into the drain, it was SOOOOO FLIMSY that i had a hard time getting it into the drain!!! I WILL NOT be buying these again! :( Buyer beware

Hi TubShroom, my tub is close to 100 years old so it's mechanics differ. I did not measure the depth available for the TubShroom. It does not fit snugly into the drain. I've considered cropping it so it will fit, but have a concern that it will affect the function

... it's a fantastic product that no one should live without, if anyone in your home has long hair. I've read other people's reviews of the tub shroom, and they complain of water draining too slowly out of their tub because of the tub shroom. Duh!! The water's draining slowly because it's time to clean your tub shroom!! :)

Cathes EVERYTHING yet still let's your water create a vortex. My last hair catcher drained so slowly, I was standing in water, then soap residue. BEST PURCHASE I've made in a while!
