This is my second bag purchase. The first one I brought for myself. I loved my bag so much that I gifted/purchased a second one for my husband for Father's Day. When I travel, I hate to bring a checked bag, so I like to use a personal bag to take additional stuff. This bag fits the bill. It is so compact and organized with various compartments to place your things. If you have compression cubes, you are guaranteed to bring everything you need on your next trip. I love this bag so much that I plan to gift one to my sister and brother-in-law for the upcoming holiday. Since we took our group vacations together every year, I thought it would be super cool for all of us to have the same bag. The only downside to this bag it the water bottle pocket, I wish it was expandable to carry various size bottles. Overall, you get great value for a quality bag, and the price is just right!

We travel internationally frequently as a family of 4. We’ve used several different backpacks before trying out this one. After using it for one trip, I liked it so much that I came back and bought two more, one for each of my kids. Husband prefers a bigger pack, but this 28L is perfect for me as a smaller female, and for my 9 and 11 year old kiddos. Holds all we need for a 7-10 day trip.

It doesn't fit as much as I had hoped but it still fits a lot. When it's fully packed out (12 day cruise to italy) it still fit comfortably. It doesn't feel bulky or clunky and it definitely doesn't look big or awkward on my back. Definitely recommend it for a short trip like they say or if you don't need to pack extra shoes.

Just used my new Island Hopper 28L Backpack for the first time. I purchased this BP for airplane travel coming up in April. It will be my under seat personal item as it's pretty close to the 18"X14"X8" requirement. The backpack passed the test with flying colors. The multiple compartments and suitcase style opening made packing and using very easy. I also purchased the Cor Surf compression cubes. They are a great addition to my carry on only arsenal.

Well made and thoughtful design make this 28L a go to for short trips. I use this as my gear bag for traveling to high school wrestling. I am an official and this bag holds my uniform, shoes, shower toiletries, towels and some other needs. Great job and products. I also grabbed the packing cubes. I will buy more.

Traveled all over Europe with this bag and it's been perfect. A great deal compared to other very similar bags. Only thing missing is a bottom strap and maybe a little extra cushioning on the straps but if you don't overstuff it'll be fine. Overall still in great shape after multiple euro trips and never had issues with it as an underseat airline bag.

I’ve used this bag solo on 3-5 day trips and as my personal item with a roller carry on for longer trips. The organization is great! Keeps everything handy. I appreciate the water bottle sleeve. The computer sleeve is bulky and takes up a lot of space. I find computer sleeve zipper hard to close it’s not as nice as the other zippers. The other zipper are super smooth. I wish the main compartment was deeper with the other side a bit more shallow. I put my clothes in the main compartment, toiletries and tech on the other side.

Love the look and features. Opens like a suitcase making it super easy to pack and find everything without emptying or digging to the bottom of a bag. This is the only thing I use to travel!

I love this backpack!.. It is made from much better and sturdy materials than I had expected. I also managed to squeeze a lot more packing cubes into the space than I thought I would. This bag is very efficient. I am impressed with the zip quality, and generous small pockets. The bag itself is also very comfortable around my shoulders and back.

I researched a lot of backpacks for my upcoming trip. The Island hopper ticked all the boxes. Lightweight, fits under plane seat, pocket for tablet, zippered compartment on top for carrying passport, wallet, etc. I considered another bag, but why pay $70 more for a nearly equal bag? I promise to add another review upon my return home. But, so far I think this bag is just what I wanted!

Six-day, five-night visit to family and friends. Plenty of room for clothes in two main compartments, laundry in third inside compartment, and Dopp kit / toiletry bag & book in top compartment. Travel documents in back-facing compartments. And water bottle once thru airport security.
