The Timer Wash+Soap Dispenser provides an excellent visual to help young children and children with disabilities spend adequate time in self-care. As a teacher, I find that my students have developed improved independence using this specialty timer. The audible cue and visual for each portion of the sequence help students to know when the next step has begun. Good hygiene skills prompted by the device also help improve healthy outcomes for children. One improvement would be to correlate the steps more closely with the Department of Health guides for washing hands. For instance, having cues for turning on the water, wetting hands, putting soap on hands, scrubbing hands/making bubbles, rinsing hands off, turning off the water, drying hands and throwing away a paper towel. The current prompts are for: putting soap on hands, scrubbing hands/making bubbles, and rinsing hands.

My son and I absolutely love this timer. It helps my son focus on the task of scrubbing his hands thoroughly. The music and visual timer wheel helps him to stay on task. I like the fun bouncy music that plays and the evenly dispersed soap.

I’m really thrilled with this purchase. I have two - one for our shared half bath and one for my son’s bathroom. He’s just under a year old but we use this dispenser every day to wash his hands before and after meals and get him used to the time it takes to safely clean them. I’m a nurse and very type A so this dispenser just hits the nail on the head for me! It dispenses soap very smoothly, is extremely easy to open and refill, and can be used with or without music through out the timer routine. Time Timer is a wonderful and trusted brand in my home.

This timer is great for giving kids or those with time blindness help in washing hands for enough time. Setup is pretty simple, though it would've been helpful if instructions had said that it takes a couple uses for soap to come out. At first I thought it was broken, but it just took a few tries for the soap to make its way through the tubes or something for the first time I guess. Now it comes out quickly and without a problem. The music is a fun touch, too!

My 3 year old loves using this to wash his hands. So, he was able to wash his hands somewhat decently, but with the Time Timer WASH + Soap Dispenser, washing hands is now viewed as an exciting activity - almost a "treat"! Because of the timer aspect, his handwashing sessions are more consistent and thorough. I would have liked to be able to adjust the "rinse" time, as the rinse time provided is a little too short. I have caught him stopping the rinse process before his hands are truly soap-free simply because the music has stopped (we're working on it though). I also wish that this had been updated to charge with USB-C instead of the micro USB port. Not much uses micro USB these days, so I have to keep a dedicated cable around just to charge this soap dispenser.

I am really hoping this helps keep illness away this fall when everyone goes back to school because my kids love using it! My only advice would be to make sure your sink or bathroom has ample counter/sink space because its footprint in substantial.
