The no proof warranty sounds great but when you have to pay to ship it and then 1295 to have it sent back I just went online and bought two new ones. Not really a deal if you're paying the same price that you paid for the lighter in shipping!

I ordered three of the standard G inserts one of them does not hold fluid The chamber must have a leak. At this point, I have not contacted customer service yet. I’m sure I will be taken care of.

I bought the regular butane insert. My expectation was surpassed. Is The most like a regular zippo flame . I like the idea of still using a flint to ignite so I don’t have to hold any buttons and that the butane will last a lot longer . Also like that the tank is clear so i can check when it’s getting low. Didn’t have any problems with fit or leaking as i had previously read of others experience. Will be seeing how it endures over time but am already thinking of buying more.

It's nice having both Open flame and torch. The butane does run out fast if you don't shut the lid as the lid on the ones that I bought controls the flame. The only thing I don't like is when it gets low and you have to turn the fluid up it puts out an open flame like five to six inches if you turn it up too high. The one with the Flint I haven't used but once and I can't give a review on that one yet.

The flame on the insert is massive, even with adjusting to the lowest setting. I also only get three lights out of it because it is out of fuel by then.

I like the idea and I appreciate that vector is basically the only company making a butane version of the soft flame insert without having to hold down a button. The problem is the build quality and fuel reservoir are pretty poor. The first one I got immediately broke and started leaking fuel. The second one I got didn’t leak fuel but completely ran out of butane after about 1 day of moderate use. I also don’t have much faith in it being able to hold gas long term which is the entire point of a butane insert. I would rather they just make a higher quality insert for an extra $20 but make it have better fit and finish

I love it when it's working but I personally have trouble refilling my insert. If it was easier to refill I would give it a 10+

The Thunderbird insert I use gives a nice adjustable soft yellow flame for my pipe smoking. I will not use a torch flame as it could destroy the pipes and also the tobacco flavors. Lastly , the use of butane fuels and the no proof warranty gives a more than satisfactory outlook needed for purchase of these Vector products. My Zippos will get quite a work out. You must check out the Vector product line and seek your very own bliss!

The lighters came super quickly from Lighter USA…with great communication throughout the whole purchase/delivery. The lighters themselves are excellent both in fit and performance…I would absolutely recommend them as an insert (I’ve used Vector gas for years). I purchased both a soft flame and a dual torch.

This insert works great for using with a pipe. Soft flame is adjustable and so far is trouble free. Thinking about ordering a second one for one of my Zippo shells.

This particular example is dangerous/unsafe. Test your inserts before using them in a zippo case. I can only speak for this example not for the product on the whole. My issue might be a rare/isolated issue... However, I have to mention it. I tested the insert before installing into a case. When the cam is opened, the jet flame works perfectly. When I release the button, the yellow flame works perfectly. The problem: When I closed the cam, the yellow flame did NOT STOP. I opened and closed the cam several times and eventually the flame stopped. Usually could still hear gas escaping slowly even then. I would include a video, but didn't realize that option existed and I have already returned it.

So tired of going through zippo after zippo only for them to stop working or barely work right out of the box. Thunderbird is better, no doubt about it.
