I like that it’s edge lined and has art gilding. I was disappointed that the NASB that I bought didn’t have these features. It’s probably because the KJV was made in China and the NASB was made in Korea.

It was exactly as I ordered it. And I was very specific and picky about the color, genuine leather, thumb tab reference, red letter, and size of print. I was worried about it, and faithgateway really came through. Thank you.

This comfort print edition is much more readable than the kirkbride or previous zondervan editions. Text on regular size is like the text size of the old "Large Print" by kirkbride.

On the plus side, the Comfort Print makes it easier to read. But, in an "editorial decision", they removed or severely altered portions of the Thompson; line art disappeared, maps were distorted, content rearranged. Frank C. Thompson himself put all that in years ago, and by doing what they did the current editors felt they were better than him. As it stands, this Zondervan version is less of a Thompson than previous editions.

A servant healed, the d*ad raised, and a multitude of miracles. Luke 7 in 90s In Luke 7, a roman centurion sends jews to ask Jesus to heal his servant (another gospel calls the boy his son.) His servant doesnt have long but the man knows that Jesus can heal! Jesus agrees to come but on the way the roman centurion meets him and says that he isn't worthy for Jesus to even come into his home. He asks Jesus to speak the word of healing, knowing that even Jesus' words can heal the sick. Then Jesus goes into Nain and a woman's only son has died. Jesus has compassion on her and then raises her son to life by saying "Young man, I say unto you arise." The young man sits up straight, is raised, and the crowd is amazed. Then Jesus goes off performing so many miracles that the stories arent even individually documented it just says he performs tons of miracles. Thank God that Jesus is still the miracle worker today! #BibleHighlightsDaily #Gospelofluke #faithjourney

The Temptation, The Demoniacs, and Peter's Mother in Law Luke 4 in about 60s | Day 48 of Bible Highlights Daily After being baptized, Jesus goes into the wilderness to fast and be tempted 40 days. If you're facing unbelievable temptation, not a bad idea to fast and pray! The devil tries to tempt Jesus with the world if He would only bow down and worship the devil. Jesus rebukes him 3 times, siting scripture all three times when He says "it is written." The devil leaves him for a short season and Jesus starts preaching in the synagogues. He goes to Nazareth to preach and opens the scriptures to the book of Isaiah where the prophet fortells the anointed messiah that will preach, comfort the broken, and free the captive. He tells them the prophecy has been fulfilled right before their eyes and ears. They are so incensed that He would call Himself the Messiah that they actually try to THROW JESUS OFF A CLIFF. He escapes them and begins preaching in Capernaum where He heals Peter's mother in law, casts out demons (Who all call Jesus the "Holy One of God" before they're sushed by Him) and does is ultimately begged by them not to leave. Nearly thrown off a cliff by the pharisees in His HOME TOWN and then BEGGED not to leave just 30 miles away. Not everyone will understand you or what God has called you to. That's fine, move on. Jesus did. #faithtok #Jesus #Hopecore #QuickBibleStudy #Biblehighlightsdaily

The Parable of the Sower and the Seed Luke 8 in about 79s In this chapter we get a LOT of things. I'm actually going to be making 3 videos to summarize this chapter because I dont want to skip anything. We're going to talk about the parable of the sower and the seed. Where Jesus cautions us against the things that keep us from receiving from Him. The things that cause us to walk away from this amazing salvation He has promised. The lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. The pursuance of riches, the rise of distractions, all these things drag us away from being supernaturally changed by the power of the Cross. When you share the seed of the gospel, expect that most of the time the hearer will not allow the seed (the gospel) to do what it's supposed to do. But plant it anyway. There are no shortage of distractions that call us away from Christ. Follow Him HARD. The world might lie and say it has everything your heart could ever want or need but it LIES. Jesus is the only one that will satisfy your heart eternally. I'm a living witness. #BibleHighlightsDaily #Gospelofluke #faithjourney

John the Baptist fights with pharisees, there's revival in galilee! As John begins his ministry, preaching repentance, sinners like me come out in DROVES! They ask what they must do to be saved and John points them to repentance. To walk away from their former ways of life. To lay aside greed, covetousness, and violence. Then John the Baptist has some words with the pharisees about true repentance. Finally Jesus is baptized by John and the Holy Ghost shows up Bodily as a dove and the Father speaks from heaven. Then Jesus begins preaching the gospel of the Kingdom. His ministry has begun!!! Mankind will never be the same again! #faithtok #Jesus #Hopecore #QuickBibleStudy #Biblehighlightsdaily

But luke 9 is here! In Luke 9, Jesus sends his disciples out, empowers them to perform the mighty works of the Holy Spirit, heals an entire crowd of over 5,000 and then feeds them with a young man's lunch. What I think about when I put the entire summary of the chapter in context is this: He is enough. He will provide us with everything we need. Not just the "STUFF" that we need. He promises to heal, to deliver, to feed, to clothe, and ultimately take care of us in every way. Don't soon forget THAT is my savior. THAT is Christ. Don't buy the devil's lies. #BibleHighlightsDaily #Gospelofluke #faithjourney

THIS IS WHY prayers go unaswered. Mark Chapter 6 #QuickBiblesStudy #FaithTok #ThegospelofMark #faithjourney #BibleHighlightsDaily Mark Chapter 6 Jesus Goes back to Nazareth. And He is met with UNBELIEF Have faith. Without faith, we CANNOT please God! Jesus empowers His disciples to cast out demons, and heal the sick through the power of the Holy Ghost. Jesus feeds the 5,000 with just 5 loaves and 2 fish. The Theme of Mark 6 is HAVE FAITH. God can do it! God still performs miracles. Jesus still changes lives. If He can Feed 5,000 with just 5 loaves and 2 fish, He can feed you. If He can cast out demons, He can liberate you. Jesus is Lord. Jesus Christ is King.

A forgotten woman, NO LONGER forgotten. Luke 13 in less than 90s A woman has been bound, with an infirmity of some sort that bowed her over and she couldnt stand straight up. But the Bible says that Jesus healed her. It was the sabbath and the synagogue leaders were infuriated and said "BE HEALED ON ANY OTHER DAY!" IN RAGE. Imagine witnessing such a miraculous healing and STILL being upset because of the DAY THAT THE WOMAN WAS HEALED. Ridiculous. My friends, if you're struggling or hurting today, know that the bible tells us that HE is our healer. He is our refuge. You can trust in Him. If you struggle to read the bible, feel free to follow and we'll go through it together #biblehighlightsdaily #Gospelofluke #faithjourney #QuickBiblesStudy

The Christ-child, the shepherds, and the miracle that defined HISTORY. Luke 2 in 60s In luke 2 the miracle that defines the history of man into two halves, unfolds. We would forever be referencing "BC and AD." The dictators would forever be grappling with His name. The captive would forever be trusting in the power of His name. It is the name that brings freedom, healing, and deliverance and for the first time His baby cry is heard. He. Is. Born. Jesus, in the Christmas message of Luke 2, officially sent on the rescue mission to ransom man BACK to God! This chapter is so special because we see, among many things, the angels rejoice with a heavenly splendor. An angel choir is assembled to sing of the glory of the Lord for coming to rescue man. Thank you God for remembering your promise and coming after man! #faithtok #Jesus #Hopecore #QuickBibleStudy #Biblehighlightsdaily

In Luke 10, Jesus sends 70 disciples to heal, deliver, and preach the Kingdom. And when they do, they find that the power of the Holy Spirit followed them! The bible says that even demonic principalities were subject to them through His name. But Jesus warns them not to be high minded and to remember that they rejoice simply because their names are written in the Lamb's book of life, in heaven! Then Jesus shares the parable of the good samaritan. A priest, temple worker, and samaritan pass a man who's been robbed and hurt. The two religious people use their service to God as a reason not to help the poor man but it's the samaritan that helps him. Now remember in biblical times, the jews considered the samaritans as "dogs." There was a serious prejudice that God was working on in this parable. The samaritan takes care of the man, pays for his recovery, and ends up displaying more godly love than the priest and temple worker. This story in the Gospel of Luke reminds us that God expects us to show love to those that we are at odds with, no matter what. To consider no cultural lines, when it comes to the church, and to worship God with how we love each other. #BibleHighlightsDaily #Gospelofluke #faithjourney

In luke 14, the bible tells us that Jesus healed a man on saturday, again. lol take that pharisees haha Luke 14 in less than 90s But the best part of the chapter to me is the parable of the great feast. A rich man invites all the dignitaries and fancy pants people to a feast. He's celebrating and wants them there. But when everything is ready and it's actually time for those that were bidden to arrive and celebrate, one by one they make excuses why they can't or won't come. The master is angered and tells his servant to go out into the streets and find literally anyone to come to the feast. In this parable Jesus shows us that all of mankind was invited to heaven and yet we have all found a way to make excuses why we "couldn't" come. But the bible shows us that the Master is well aware that they were simply making excuses. May we not make excuses why we "can't" prioritize our relationship with God. Why we "can't" pray, read the Bible, or tell others about Him. May we take our spiritual eternity more seriously than we take this temporary physical experience called being human. #biblehighlightsdaily #Gospelofluke #faithjourney #QuickBibleStudy

The multitude, the net-breaking catch, and the unworthy apostle. Luke 5 is day 49 of Daily Bible Highlights In Luke 5, the same crowd from Luke chapter 4 is following Jesus and they're pressing into him so strongly that Jesus asks Peter, who's been fishing all night, if he would put the boat out a little ways from the bank so that Jesus could teach from the ship instead of being squished by the crowd. Peter goes ahead and launches the boat out and Jesus teaches from the boat. When Jesus has finished teaching, He tells peter to go out into the deep of the lake and let his nets down for a "Draught" which means a full net of fish. Peter says they already fished all night and caught nothing but because it was Jesus who was saying to, he would try it. And then a miracle happens. A catch so large that the net begins to break and peter has to call the other crew that fishes with them to come over and help them. Peter is astonished. He had fished all night and nothing and now suddenly Jesus tells him to try again and the flood gates open? Peter collapses at the feet of Jesus and confesses "I am a sinful man, depart from me O Lord." And Jesus says "Don't be afraid. You'll fish for men from now on." Peter went on to be the most fiery of apostles on the day of pentecost, proclaiming the truth with a boldness that eventually led to his own "final punishment." Man's natural reaction to experiencing the power of God is always the same. Cowering, clamouring, etc. And thank God that the Lord's response is always "fear not." #faithtok #Jesus #Hopecore #QuickBibleStudy #Biblehighlightsdaily

He called me His family. Not a servant, but His family. Luke 8 in around 80s When we accept Christ, we gain access to everything heaven has for us. We become HEIRS and JOINT-HEIRS with Jesus Christ! HE GIVES US ACCESS TO THE THINGS OF HEAVEN. You need to understand this, man or woman of God. Once you become Born Again, The Holy Spirit Transforms you, regenerates you, and then YOU become part of the family of God. Glory to GOD!!! Jesus says He's God and the pharisees are seething.. Luke 5 in 60s A man needs healing but the crowd is blocking the door and there's no way in. So the man's friends rip the roof off of the house and lower him in. And Jesus forgives him.. The room grows silent. Who can forgive sin but God?? He then heals the man. Bittnerness, mountain-moving faith, and 10 lepers healed. In Luke 17, the Lord addresses bitterness and unforgiveness. Then, when Jesus is asked to "increase" their faith, He tells them that if you only had the faith of a mustard seed they would tell a tree to be plucked up by its roots and cast into the sea and it would obey. God, may we have that kind of trust in you. Then the Bible pivots to the cleansing of the 10 lepers. You see leprosy was a terrible skin disease that not only was unsurvivable (eventually) but it was also a painful existence. You had to live outside the city walls, couldn't walk through an area without saying "unclean unclean unclean" at the top of your lungs. It wasn't just physically painful and lethal, it was embarassing, lonely, and would cause a despair and dismay. Then Jesus runs into 10 people with this disease and they cry for mercy. In the worst moments of my life I have cried for God's mercy and He gave it to me. Oh thank GOD for His mercy. And Jesus responds to their cry for mercy and says "go show yourself to the priest!" Which is Jesus saying "you're clean, go get ceremonial pronounced clean so you can enjoy normal life." And it was ONLY AS THEY TURNED AROUND to go show the priest, that they were healed. Their faith had to be in MOTION. They had to TRUST that God would do it. My friends, may we trust God and take Him at His Word. See you tomorrow for Luke 18. Btw, I really appreciate you tuning into these bible highlights videos. It means a lot to me. I love getting to share the Word of God with the world. #gospelofLuke#BibleHighlightsDaily #faithjourney
