Absolutely gorgeous. The surface has a raised painted texture, gold writing, gold edges, there’s a built in bookmark, and a “This pretty book belongs to ____” spot on the opening page. I love the hand painted look and feel and am so glad I got the hard cover.

Really cute set, perfect travel size. The texture is a smooth, soft, sort of not leathery, leather feel (not sure how to describe it). Still contains the pictures the original book has (The Hobbit). Only wish they had built in bookmarks. Very classy look.

Everything about this is amazing! It comes with two maps of Beleriand and the illustrations are beautiful! It came packaged really good so there was no harm and the words are printed very clear which makes it easy to read.

While I've yet to read this version I am already so in love with the gorgeous artwork and collector quality of the book. I got a great deal here and shipping was extra speedy.
