I do make my own sprouts and this lid works well to drain the water out of the sprouts. I don’t feel it’s important to stand the jar up on this lid as I’m used to sitting the jar on its side to get light/sun on the sprouts.

I purchased this lid and the mesh lid to compare. It does the job, but the description mentioned you can angle the jar on the handle. That doesn’t really work. It isn’t stable. I just angle it in a bowl. Also it hold a little more water near the rim than the mesh one. Not that big of a deal if you shake it pretty good. I would just order the mesh one, less cumbersome.

I recorded my spiriting kids about 10 days ago and have already sprouted a batch. I love them! I also ordered 3 extra to give away. I used to sprout seeds a long time ago but lost my kids and hadn’t found them anywhere, until I found them here. I love that a stand is built in. Very happy with my purchase! Also bought some labels and the chalk pen. Works great!

These lids are perfect for half gallon, raw milk we get locally! No spilling or dripping. I can shake it easily to mix the yummy cream on top without worry. I also purchased the silicone sleeve and that is so helpful with a large jar. I haven't used the sprout lid yet but soon!

This sprouting lid built in stand , great all in one.( very small seed goes thru). I use the sprouting lids to wash and drain. When it start to sprout ,I switch to lid with built in stand. I had sprouting lid and stand, (the stand or lid get lost)

I find these lids so dang useful. With or without the handy dandy handle, they are so nice for storing liquids in the frig. no spill, no mess and controlled pour makes these lids so perfect!

my nieces are loving helping feed their family. we are big salad eaters and grandma encourages the girls to eat a variety of seeds. sprouts are 'some of the funnest stuff we can cook".
