I love these pants! I've had them for a couple of years now, and they have faded a bit but otherwise show minimal signs of wear (I also put them in the dryer, with no consequences so far). They are a little tight when I first put them on, but they loosen up. I can wear them in all but the hottest weather. They are perfect for gardening and to wear as I would any jeans when I'm doing chores and whatnot. I also love that they don't have a double knee (I wish Dovetail would make more pants without the double knee, in fact). Please make them in more colors, Dovetail! I had no trouble with the sizing--I'm 5' 6", 128#, and wear a size 4. Maybe if I weren't postmenopausal I'd have to size down . . .

I am 5’3 and 150, and 8 fits me great. I initially ordered a 10 and I was swimming in them so I exchanged them (which was the easiest exchange I’ve ever done in my life!). They’re pretty stiff at first, but I’m hoping to break them soon. I do wish they were a little higher waisted, as the button digs right into my stomach when I squat and sit. Probably going to buy another pair of pants from dovetail soon.

I love these pants. The quality and style are great. They run 2 sizes too large so size down. I normally wear a size 0 in pants (or 25 in Levi’s), these I had to get in 000. I’m 5’4” and 100lbs.

these fit really weird... they're not high rise, they're more of a mid rise. and they are "wider" than an actual size 0, probably fit more like a 2 or 4, so don't bother using the size chart to figure out what size you'll need, because it's inaccurate. i tried shrinking them a bit to help with the sizing issue but unfortunately this voided my ability to return them. it helped a bit, but with wear, they just stretched back out loose again. im upset i wasted my money on these. do not purchase these unless you want to return and rebuy these several times to get a good fit.

I LOVED these pants. The fit, style, functionality and color were all perfect. Definitely check out the sizing because it runs LARGE! The biggest issue I have is that these pants DO NOT stand up to moderate wear. Less than a year old and the fabric is completely worn through in two spots. My job isn’t even that crazy- I expected much better from these pants. I do not recommend these pants for anyone hoping to work on them.

These are good heavy fabric. I liked the idea of looser fitting pants to allow more movement. These seem to sit lower like the description suggests, but also means the crotch is lower which to me restricts leg movement for something like climbing a tree. I got these in size 2, and perhaps could have gone smaller, but didn’t want to compromise on the looser legs. Will be a great pant in the fall/winter cooler weather.

Pants are comfortable and clearly durable. I've had them for a few weeks and they stand up to normal wear and tear from wearing them and washing them. The only thing I don't like is the buttons to close them, I would prefer a zipper. These buttons take too long! The size was also too big, I had to re order a size smaller, which other had warned about.

These pants do run big so size down them being out of a 14 i tried a 16 and they were huge massive. The 12 actually fit like a glove and im so so so happy with my purchase the exchange process was simple and didnt cost me anything. :) I am 5”10 190 athletic/curvy size 12/30 inseam.

I originally bought my normal size in these jeans (10) and was disappointed that they seemed really big and gapped immensely at the waist in the back (both when standing and when squatting/bending over). I decided to try and exchange them for a smaller size (8) like other reviewers did, and they fit much, much better but still not great for me. I have wider hips and butt, and a slightly narrower waist. There is still some gapping at the waist, and a belt helps (but only a little). You can *almost* see underwear and crack when squatting in these pants, so it generally feels too risky to squat in, so to get these to fit the way I want at the waist I'd need to get them altered. I still don't think that would help though because I bought these to work in the garden (which requires a lot of squatting and bending) and when you sit in these pants, they cut deeply into my stomach, even if the gapping at the back weren't such an issue. It's like they're just not made to move that way. Even just sitting in a chair to write this review is uncomfortable without unbuttoning the front. The fit is really nice through the thighs and legs and they are a thick material that seems high quality, so it's a shame these just didn't work for me. I love all the pockets and the combat-y look of them when standing, but the sitting/squatting experience was poor for me. I'll be returning these for now.

These are by far my most comfortable workwear pants. I've tried a lot of Dovetail, and I love the high rise and the stretchy waistband. I wear size 8 in pretty much every pants, Dovetail or otherwise, and size 4 in the shop pants were a perfect fit. I read the reviews and ordered the size 4. I ended up cutting the hem because they were too long, and they look doubly fire cuffed with a raw hem. I also really like the button closures and that these pants are NOT double kneed. I appreciate a double knee, but don't want all of my work pants double kneed.

I love the material, the pockets, the color, but the fit leaves something to be desired. I ordered my usual size, and the pants are very bunchy around the crotch area, where the zipper is. By the time I figured it out, I'd already worn them a couple times so I guess I can't exchange them.

I bought these because I wanted thicker jeans with real pockets, and these fit the bill! I know that this whole company is for workwear, but my job is mostly in an office so I was happy to find pants without the kneepad slots from Dovetail. They're a little different fit than my favorite style from Dovetail (Britt), but still just as comfortable! A few reviews said to order a size down from your normal size. I didn't do that, and these fit well the first wear, but were much looser in the second wear before washing. They didn't feel a whole size too big though.

I am so pleasantly surprised with the out-of-the-bag fit of these pants! Initially I found them a smidge snug in the thighs, but they adjusted to my body over the course of the first wear. I also really dig the combination of belt loops and inner elastic band! Great ankle opening, also - not too wide, not too tapered, and fits all of my shoes, whether it's my lace-up boots or my birkenstocks. I've worn these 3 times in the last week and have gotten compliments every time. I'll definitely be back for more pants! Thanks, y'all!

Just got my Shop Jeans in the mail and I tried them on right away. I don't want to take them off. They are comfortable. They feel durable and fit just like I had hoped that they would. I am short and fat; I ordered the 24/30 hoping they would be loose. They fit just right, loose in the right places and comfortably snug in the right places. The stretch is great. Not too long, the waist is perfect. I want to say that in several brand name jeans I wear a size 20 but they are tight. I have gained weight this winter. Dovetail Work Jeans are a pleasant surprise. I plan to order other pairs for work and I have shared your sight with other working women that I know.
