I don't know how necessary it is but I bought it and sprayed it everytime. I know its to keep it from getting warm but the pads didn't have an issue warming up, it did however seem to help spread the products evenly.

Using this pre-conditioner really kept the foam pad moving and polish flowing over the areas. Made it much easier to keep the polisher moving smoothly over the paint.

This stuff is amazing. In the past I would go through 2 pads while waxing our 38' trailer. I thought I would give this a try and I waxed the whole trailer with the last pad that I had used last time. The pad had already started to let go but it lasted the trailer.

The conditioner worked well. I saw less wear on the pad. I just wish CG's would stop providing the cheapest possible spray bottles on earth. I pay good money for their products and I'm sick of having to go to a different CG spray bottle that I have and switch out the sprayers. Even the CG's employees don't use these bottles in their videos! (swirl/hologram removal video)

Condition is awesome when working on scratches and swirls with a compound and polishes. helps to keep the pad and products working together for a great shine on my truck and suv.
