I bought a box 12 nesting pads to use in my rabbit litterboxes. I used one pad for two boxes as a covering for the paper (regular soft paper bedding) mixed with hardwood pellets thatI normally use. I took one chicken nesting pad and carefully divided the material into two pieces. My two bunnies really enjoy the loftiness of the chicken pads and it prevents them from sitting directly on the soiled bedding. Also if your bunny has GI issues, the nest material holds the fecal pellets so that you can see what condition they are in or whether there are enough being produced.
When i want to remove the fecal material, it’s easy to shake the off. I have also rinsed urine off the bedding (it holds up very well). I would suggest using a new pad each time the litterbox is emptied.
It’s really a very good product and Sweetie and Blackjack really think it’s comfy on their bunny feet.
