Disappointed again by Meater…. I really, really want them to work but they just don’t work well. Disconnected many times and battery low on one probe even though it’s been in the charging block for weeks.

Despite many bad reviews of the Meater, mine worked really well. My smoker has its own built-in temp probe so I used both it and the Meater at the same time and both probes stayed within a couple of degrees of each other. My personal favorite feature is the graph illustrating a detailed breakdown of the cook.

shop ========================= My Review.... Meater Support & Product Suck! I spent six hours on the phone with tech support over a two day period with no resolution. I feel stupid for letting it go that long. I should have stopped at a half an hour, but you guys kept insisting that you were gonna get working. What does that say about your knowledge about your product? If it takes six hours and you still could not get it to work. I know this post will definitely not make it to the people that need to see it most. Good luck future customers.

Bought it as a present. Tried using it once. It would not connect all probes. One does not connect saying it's not charged. Using it without the app was a bit of a drag and I was hoping it would be better without it. The temperature selection on the block should be done with a knob imho. Can't say I tried it since cause it was a present

Really handy tool for the bbq season. It struggled at first to connect to all the probes but I got there in the end. Be very careful as they probes can get damaged if the heat in the BBQ is too high (mainly charcoal bbq's I'm guessing) as I damaged a probe the first time I used mine. Meater were quick to replace it which was great.

I ultimately returned it. Probes are way too thick and punch a huge hole in your steak. The portion that remains outside the meat is too sensitive to temperature and so I couldn’t get the high grill heat I sometimes like for certain things without it shutting down.

I wish I could have returned them. 4 probes and im lucky if I can get 1 or 2 to connect and then they seldom stay connected. The probes become so hot that they are impossible to remove from the meat and replace in the block when having to switch out the defective probe for one that is working. In general, very dissatisfied with the purchase

I received the MEATER Block about a month ago as a birthday gift. The general build quality seems great thus far. However, I was disappointed in the inability of the probes to match the sear temperature of my grill without voiding the MEATER warranty and the repeated dropping of my WiFi connection.

Temps seem accurate. Good price. My only qualm is that there are too many alerts and the block goes to sleep randomly. They need to add a setting to keep this from going to sleep as you have to refresh it to get your thermometers back up and connected.

Meant to buy the MEATER PRO XL, but accidentally got the MEATER Block. First impression was the worked pretty good on the first cook. Second cook not so much, batteries were low on 3 out of the 4. Time on block charging between 1st and 2nd cook was 3 days and the batteries were low. 3rd cook and the batteries died. Time between 3rd and 4th cook was 8 days, batteries were still dead. Stayed on hold with a chat for over an hour. Called multiple times from date of delivery with no answer after an hour on hold waiting on a representative. Had to actually charge one probe at a time. Now they are ready to use...(hopefully). Connection in standalone and wife are about the same. On my oklahoma joe bronco barrel smoker the block has to be sitting on the stand or it won't connect once the lid is down.

I bought this product based on a recommendation from a family member. I'm not really too techy and I'm finding out that the instructions are not adequate for me. I had my son help and we still couldn't get it to work properly. I'm going to give it a few more tries and if that doesn't work I'll be sending it back! It does appear to be a great product if you can get it to run!

Used my Meater Block for the first time this weekend. I decided to start off with a Prime Rib Roast on my Gas Grill. I followed the cooking time for the desired internal temp and the meat was perfect.
