I absolutely love this brand sunscreen. I buy all three sunscreens original, matte, and kids to use for my day to day. The application is smooth to apply and there's no white reside. I will be buying more for me and my family to use. Both photos show matte with using makeup and the original without makeup. Perfection for my face.

I was advised to use a high SPF (up to 50) facial moisturizer for a discoloration on my face, so I use this product daily to even skin tone. It has been working fine though can be a little heavy when the weather is warmer. A little goes a long way.

I am a black women. I am not familiar with sunscreen products at all. I have never used sunscreen before. However, now that I am older I need a prescription menopause face cream and My doctor recommended I use a sunscreen on my face as the last step with my Estradiol Face Cream to protect my skin because the use of estrogen + niacinamide + tretinoin cream will make my skin sensitive to sun rays. I purchased popular expensive Name brand face Sunscreen with SPF and they all leave a very visible chalky white film on my skin and makes my face look a horrible dull grey! I am very disappointed because their website specifically states that it will NOT leave a white cast on my skin but it did. Obviously, those products was Not made with black women in mind. I do not wear makeup/ foundation cream. I was in search for a face sunscreen I can worn alone. I AM SO GRATEFUL THAT I FOUND BLACK GIRL SUNSCREEN! The Make It Matte 45 gel face sunscreen is perfect! It glides on smoothly. Just a little goes along way. After washing my face I apply a small amount and it makes my skin feel so soft and gives my face a wonderful Glow! No makeup, No foundation cream just my own natural beautiful brown skin. It does not leave a chalky white film on my skin. It does Not turn my face dull and grey like other sunscreens. Originally bought it to test as my local target has not restocked in like a month plus. I'm oily so it works well for me. I also like that its translucent. Also, it doesn't make my eyes water which is a pleasant surprise. I love it!

I wanted to try the matte version as I have combination/oily skin (on face) and I do love the SPF 45 level but I find the residue to be sticky once I finished massaging onto my face and body. I will continue to use it and finish the bottle as it was expensive to get to me (living in South Korea). Next time I’ll order the “original” instead. I wish the that version would be 45 SPF, maybe it will come in the future.

I typically prefer much higher SPF levels in my sunscreen, but 45 was all I saw available here. I've not been using it as often as I should, but I do love that I can apply it to my face without any burning or stinging. Also the matte finish is a game changer! I'm remembering to shake before applying the gel though, because it does separate a little. I'll likely only be using this in my face, given the price point & small size of the tube.

I like the transparency of the SPF 45 Sunscreen better than the SP:F 50, which can leave a pale residue on the skin making it look a little ashy. But still, it is better than any other Sunscreen brand I have tried. Thank you for giving us something that works on Black Girl skin!

I have covered up and stayed out of the sun my whole life because every sunscreen left a white film or made my makeup lighter. Finally I found not only a sunscreen that does not leave a white cast, but is matte so my face does not look greasy. Bonus this sunscreen is also a great primer. Ive have told everyone I know about this sunscreen, finally one made for our skin.
