I bought this due to a crack I have in my 2015 Camry with only 34k miles on it. The customer support representative was great and provided many tips to help try and get the color match but overall after multiple tries I just couldn't get the color match. I ended up just wiping off the material. From what I can tell of the product if you can match the color it should work well. I just could not seem to be good at matching the colors. I wanted to give 5 star rating for the company alone. If you give this a shot and it does not work the most you are out is the time. The company stands behind their product and offers fast support. If you are looking for a patching kit give this one a go.

I was really apprehensive about buying this product. I have 3 tears in my leather seat and one on console! The only thing I would do differently next time would be when applying the adhesive - put on with finger so it is smooth instead of with the tool that was given; buy hey it looks a lot better than with 3 holes. I will def be buying this product again! The only other thing would be is needed a little more of the white to mix! But all in all I would def recommend this product.

We have a greyish/brown leather couch that got scuffed up during a move.
After a bit of research, it leather repair was feasible for an amateur.. and picked a leather repair kit. There are many on Amazon that use a few different techniques. I wasn't sure which was going to be the best, so just went with this one.
Mixing the color was probably the most frustrating. My dark gray looked a little bit brownish. There was another reviewer who mentioned there was a strong bluish tint to the black, which was true. However after experimentation with adding different colors (in may case a dab of yellow and a bit of red) I got a fairly good wet match. I used the recommended trycolors.com site to add different colors that would move me closer to my desired color before actually adding the color. It is also frustrating since the color dries to a slightly darker shade. I could have kept on mixing to achieve the perfect match but didn't want to risk having to start from scratch.
The instructions also recommend cleaning the the area first with alcohol. I did that and saw that it left cloudy mark on my leather - Im not sure if it took of a bit of the existing coloring/finish or it was just dirty (the couch was fairly new) - but I recommend cleaning with a damp cloth if the area isnt too dirty.
There were different types of damage to the couch it too a little bit of experimentation to find the best techniques. Initially I circled all the areas I wanted to address with some chalk (if you get a good enough color match and have many areas you are addressing, it was hard to find the repaired area again). There were deep scuffs that went into the leather itself (completely removing the dye/finish) and scuffing up grains of the leather as well as scratches that only took off pint point areas of dye). I used an exacto knife to remove the raised bits of leather first so the area was flush (be careful not to gouge the leather itself).. if you don't have a steady hand you can probably just skip this step.
I then applied the color using the supplied spatula to the larger areas. To the superficial scratches (where dye the size of pinhead were removed) i would put a little bit of dye in with tooth pick, blow dry it to speed the drying process then wipe with a towel moistened with alcohol to flatten the area. The larger areas, I would apply thin layers after allowing some time to dry (can blow dry to speed the process). The area remains tacky to the touch.. which is fine. Don't put apply too much color at once.
Once everything had dried sufficiently (i went over it a few times with the blow dryer, and left it for a period of time (30 min-1hr), i again wiped the area with a cloth moistened with alcohol to get a smooth finish. (the larger scuffs was the most difficult to get a smooth finish, and aggressive wiping seemed to remove the coloring even when i thought it was dry - so i wasn't too aggressive with wiping it) I also was careful when wiping with the alcohol since i was worried it might make the area more cloudy.
My last step, after the area was completely dry (no longer tacky) - I buffed it with a clean dry cloth to attempt to match the shininess of the rest of the couch. This was somewhat effective.. its not perfect but good enough. In bright light you can see the areas of repair as the shade is slightly different. however in the regular lighting in the room, it is hard to see the areas of repair unless i pointed it out.
I haven't used the product to mend torn leather.. I may attempt to repair a tear in my car. Will update this review if I do.

Used on my black vinyl Ashley Furniture sofa that began cracking with light/moderate wear, leaving gashes of white material exposed. If you're not familiar with the brand, it isn't bottom of the line, but isn't anywhere near the top, so I was on the fence about whether to even attempt a repair on the thin, prematurely brittle material. My choices were to either put an adhesive patch over the whole area (super classy) or try this product. I ***followed the instructions*** and applied several thin coats, which dried much faster than the 4-6 hours the directions advised. I also applied the repair material over the surrounding area where the cracks were likely to spread. My sofa now has a visible repair that looks much better than before and has stopped cracking. To get better results, I would need to 1. start out with a better sofa and 2. apply this product when the cracks were much smaller.
Seller support is very good and you will receive emails explaining how to properly use the product. If you don't use it properly, don't be surprised if you wind up with a sticky mess.

The color mixing chart is very helpful. I was a little reserved to use this product and viewed several videos to see how to do it. It looked easy and as it turned out it was. I started out with a small worn area on our 10 year old couch. That turned out well and the color I mixed up matched well. Unfortunately, our 1 year old pup decided to chew on that same couch in a different area. The hole he made was a 2 inch circle. I followed the directions and the result was fabulous. However, I needed to apply a second layer to the repaired area and did not have enough of the brown and black product to accomplish it. I contacted Fortivo and they graciously supplied me with what I needed, for FREE! I highly recommend this product.

I used this on a burgundy leather chair that developed a hole on the tip of the arm rest. It was easy to mix the correct color with the color chart and it was easy to use. It is not perfect, but honestly, it is way better than buying a new chair or putting some hideous arm covers on it which wouldn’t stay anyway on leather. You don’t really notice the patch at all unless you are looking for it. The chair is in a VRBO and I really didn’t want to purchase a new chair.

I bought and finally had time to use it on a black leather coat. I had two pretty good sized tears and used this product on both. The product is easy to use and the youtube videos are good. The repair kit worked beautifully on both tears and seems to holding after a few weeks of use and abuse. I would highly recommend some careful attention, a good solid work area, some disposable gloves and some paper towels, but they are not required. The only criticism I have is one of the videos that I watched initially was no longer available when I actually wanted to use the product. That particular video was more appropriate for clothing applications.

I had a large tear on the side of my car seat and needed to at least keep it from tearing more. I purchased this product so I could match the leather as close as possible. The kit came with lots of colors to mix with and a color card to match your interior. I had a hard time at first matching the color but since I had so many colors I just work through it add and mixing. It was pretty close to the interior and seems to be holding up very well. I was very impressed with this product.

The original leather seat in what's now the "kid" car on my LS 400 developed a ~3inch rip. Did some looking and found this kit, which pretty much fit the bill. Followed the simple instructions, used the included backing material, and mixed a couple of the filler tubes for an approximate match to the leather. Gave it about three coats, each with ~4 hrs drying time between coats (during daytime in hot car, so may have dried quicker than usual), and the repair has been holding well since. Disclaimer, the color match is off, but there is plenty of left-over material and I can always try later to put another coat on top that matches better. The important part for me was the patch, and that has worked well.

The instructions were simple & easy to understand. I didn't puncture holes in the pair tube instead I unscrewed the tops & use it that way to preserve the paint. The leather repair adheres great; make sure you follow the directions for prepping. It doesn't exactly match but that's all in trying to figure out what colors to mix to get the perfect color. I only have before after pictures, for the largest holes. I'd definitely recommend this product. Plus I have colors to use for future use, should I need it.

Used the product on the seat of one car and the armrest of another car. The seat is black and was an easy application and filled the open cracks nicely. The armrest had a larger crack and was a little difficult to match (tanish-gold), but the mixing chart was a big help and the application required two attempts, but came out just fine and sturdy for what I needed. All at a very reasonable price too. Highly recommend thi kit!

My husband and I got a good deal on two secondhand leather chairs, but one of them had a gaping gash in the headrest. It was big, but we thought it could be repaired and if it didn’t work we would put a throw over it.
I bought this leather kit after reading all the reviews and thought I’d give it a shot. We patched the gash using a piece of fabric on the inside of the chair and some leather glue, then when that cured, I patched the seam with this leather repair kit. It took a few applications over a few days and a few rounds of buffing with rubbing alcohol, but it worked. It’s not perfect, but it’s not an ugly gaping hole anymore either.
It was sticky for a week or so after that. It still is, but we used a lot of the product to patch the seam. I don’t think it was intended to be used to repair this sort of damage. We are covering the headrest for now, until it cures completely. I’ve added pictures of the repair.
With regards to minor damage, it covers wear and pet scratches and blends in with the chairs’ original color very well. When used sparingly it is not sticky.

I bought this product to patch some small scratches in my leather furniture. I needed some help with getting the correct color. I contacted customer service and within minutes they helped me and told me exactly how to mix the colors to achieve what I needed. The product was very easy to use but more importantly- customer service was exceptional.

I am very happy with the results! The repairs (two small slits on the top cushions of our vinyl sofa) prevented us from purchasing a new one! It is very important to follow the directions before beginning. I used two coats and waited longer before drying time. Also I did not have to mix any colors because the dark brown shade matched our sofa! I used a tiny paint brush to apply, waited overnight to dry, and used a soft clean white cloth for applying the alchohol. Then I polished the small area with a tiny amount of furniture wipes. Success! Thank you for inventing this product!

Ordered this trying to save my old pleather couch which was peeling. Order came timely and there was a thank you note included. Follow-up includes emails to make sure I understood the process, and offered for assistance if needed. I was very impressed. Read thru the directions. Mixed up some color and used the spatuala to apply ( I had huge areas to cover as the dry Colorado air really made the couch crack everywhere). The color looks fabulous. The couch is in better shape than it had been for years. Is it perfect - nope- but I saved myself 2k from buying another couch. Now to use on the leather in the car. I would highly recommend this company for product and customer service.

I was pleasantly surprised! I had two large cracks in the leather driver’s seat of my minivan. The cracks were about six inches in length. I was worried it would be impossibly hard to match the color of the leather, but I figured it couldn’t look much worse than the tears did. It turned out great!
I used both bottles of white compound (tinted with black, brown, yellow, and green) to get the repair to the point pictured above. I emailed the seller and asked for additional white compound to make the repair smoother (fewer visible signs of cracks). They were very responsive. Great value!
You do have to mix the color to match, but with some persistence and patience, that wasn’t too hard to do.
(Tip: I got this from an artist when I couldn’t figure out which color to add next - If you are close, but the color skews a little to one primary shade, add the complementary color. For example, I got a grayish tan that was close, but was a bit too pink. Adding green, drop by drop, toned down the pink and got the color right where I wanted it to be.).

Based on the positive reviews, I purchased this repair kit. I was a bit nervous since the sofa I was repairing was expensive. To my amazement, this product is super easy to apply and can't even tell where the tear was. The price is just as amazing!

I was actually very surprised at how well this worked. I purchaed it initially to repair a small hole in a leather car seat but then used to for a tear in the seat of a motocross bike. I really didn't expect much there because those seats are constantly being beat up by weather, the rider's butt, dirt, rocks, powerwashers.... It held amazingly. It can be tricky to douplicate the grain of whatever you are patching but you won't be disappointed in the strength of the patch

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Great for punctures and scrapes... and covers peels and cracks ...
Our experience
I have a leather bonded couch... which I didn't realize as it was sold as real Leather.... until it began to flake and peel. Within a month we had spots as large as our head on the head rest area... while we would like to get a new couch , we are preparing for that and in the mean time tried this product.
The color containers are the actual product and there are several to choose from in order to mix your exact color. It's very easy to use and there is a YouTube link provided with instructions. Other than rubbing alcohol you only need a paint brush. My own reccomendation for blending and a small one that you will not be able to keep after.
My only negative is that while the color selection in each box is good the actual amounts are small.
Upon communication with the company (August2017) they were inpro was of. Holding larger kits and to specific colors.. but they immediately sent me 2 additional kits for free and free shipping so I could complete my repair. !!
They were good to follow up and not to bother me just to make sure I had what I needed.
Customer service like this is almost gone today in our sales world ... thank you !!

Bought the kit to refurbish a used leather chair. I was a little apprehensive about mixing the colors to get an exact match. Turned out easier than expected but there was not near enough compound to do the whole project. I emailed customer service to ask if I could exchange the colors I did not need for more of what I needed. I was shocked at how quickly they responded (on a Sunday no less). The customer service was amazing. They asked me for proof of purchase and some pictures of the project and then sent me a new updated kit. I cannot praise them enough. And as for the product, the chair looks great. Very pleased all around.
