For full context, I am very pale. My legs will blind you in the sun pale. I stalked this site for a few weeks waiting for a review before purchasing. But I got impatient and bit the bullet. I usually like to get sprayed professionally but I figured I’d save some money and do it myself. Prior to using this I bought the Olive tan mousse from MineTan. It was okay. Didn’t really get me dark but then again being pretty pale, I might look weird going from pale to dark. But I hate how the mousse sinks into my pores no matter how well I prep. I was super excited when this dropped and wanted to try the super dark line! I applied it after my shower and let it sink in overnight. No transferring occurred and I woke up with a medium tan the next morning. It does streak a little. Maybe using the mitt would be better. But I’m happy how it doesn’t sink into my pores on my legs and it’s not overly orange. In the future I think I would combine the two- use the mousse one night and then the jelly another night. The jelly is not sticky, dried super fast and does not smell like self tanner at all. Has a light tropical scent. Almost like coconuts.

As a spray tan artist who hates the slimy, oily feeling tanning lotions make me feel all day i tried the gelly and wont go back! Im able to apply it right before bed, after the shower, before putting leggings on for the day....it dries almost instantly and feels like your wrapped in a collogen mask. You only need 1-2 pumps per body part so it last forever! The color and the smell are ahhhmazing!!!!!! I apply it 2-3 times a week between tans or in place of my spray tans and it looks the same as a day 1 tan!

I usually stink like a rusty nail that's hanging out at the bottom of a cool ranch dorittos bag when I use self tanner but this one is great. Goes on smooth and gives a real nice color. Has a slight smell the next day but nothing like others. I would say the packaging when shipping needs improvement as mine arrived broken and leaking. They did send a replacement ASAP tho.

Respectfully, this tan gelly is ridiculous. I used to self-tan all the time, and I have tried so many brands and products, including other minetan formulas. I'm about to write a long review because this deserves it. I expect a tan to be decent, but this is great. Pros - Easy to use. I haven't tanned in a few years, and I wasn't sure how well that'd go with no colorguard, AND a jelly which I've never tried. I applied it with the mitt and it glided on super nice, and a little went a long way. Felt hydrating, not heavy, sticky, or itchy (I have sensitive skin). - Smell. Out of the bottle this smells light and fresh. Tanners smell really strong and gross when developing on me, and while it's not 100% free of that, this is truly the least stinky one I've ever come across. - No transfer. This is the only tan I've used that actually dries down all the way. I put this on and slept on a light colored body pillow- all good. - Development and wear. This is the real kicker. Left it on overnight and took a shower the next day. I did wash my hands after about 4 hours. I had a little bit of tan hand/wrist going on and I wished I had washed it off my feet sooner too, but it really wasn't bad, slightly dark and patchy (again haven't put on tan in a long time so no surprise there.) I expected it would get worse with wear, but it actually evened out instead of getting patchier which I've never had happen?? I've had the tan on for a week and the color has faded (still have color just not as much,) but it's not patchy ANYWHERE... no dark elbows/knees/armpits, no scales/cracking, it all faded evenly and I'm not going to have to scrub my skin off to prep for the next round. Normally if I want to keep a tan up there's a schedule where it NEEDS to come off before it looks really bad, and then a night dedicated to getting a new layer on, but I think you can stay consistently glowy with this with minimal effort. You could totally put this on and then get dressed and go about your day once it dries. Cons - Not super dark. If you want deep dark, this isn't that at all. Barely a con for me though because it still gave great color payoff that isn't a weird or orange tone on my very pale olive skin. Color continued to deepen after my shower. Again, after a week I still have a nice little tan, it's just lighter. Please keep making this forever. There are a lot of annoying things that come with self tanning that we learn to work and deal with for a good glow, and this skips like all of them except the good part. Might not give the end result everyone is looking for in terms of color, but I'm stoked I decided to try this out, and I'm excited to reapply!
