Tips: Before starting the ice machine to clean automatically, make sure that the cleaning tablets are completely dissolved before the self-cleaning function can be performed.
Ice machine cleaning instructions:
I. Fully automatic ice machine (with self-cleaning function)
Cleaning steps:
1. Preparation
- Turn off the ice machine and empty all ice cubes in the ice box.
- Check the water level in the water tank to ensure that there is enough water to run the cleaning program (if you need to add water manually, it is recommended to use purified water).
2. Add cleaning tablets
- Place the cleaning tablets (usually 1 tablet + 500ml warm water each time, 40 degrees water temperature is recommended) directly into the water tank or designated detergent tank.
- Please dissolve the cleaning tablets in warm water in advance (to improve dissolution efficiency) and ensure that they are completely dissolved.
3. Start the cleaning program
- Select the "self-cleaning" mode (some models require a long press of the button to activate).
- The machine automatically circulates the cleaning solution, which takes about 15-20 minutes and is discharged after completion.
4. Secondary flushing
- Manually inject enough clean water, start the ice making program again, and thoroughly rinse the remaining stains.
2. Semi-automatic ice machine (cleaning requires human intervention)
Cleaning steps:
1. Turn off and empty
- Unplug the power plug, remove all ice cubes and removable parts (such as ice trays and ice storage boxes).
2. Dissolve cleaning solution
- Dissolve the cleaning tablet in warm water below 40°C (reference ratio: 1 tablet/500 ml warm water), and then pour it into the water tank.
Manual cycle cleaning
- Turn on the power, start the ice making cycle, and let the cleaning solution flow through the entire water system.
- Pause after running for 10 minutes and let it stand for 15-20 minutes to enhance the descaling effect.
4. Thorough flushing
- Empty the dirty water and repeat the cleaning of the ice machine with clean water 2-3 times until there is no detergent smell.
3. Ice Maker without Cleaning Function (Basic Model)
Cleaning Steps:
1. Disassemble Parts
- Remove all accessible parts (water pipes, filters, evaporators, etc.) and soak them in a cleaning tablet solution (1 tablet + 500ml water) for 15-20 minutes.
2. Internal Cleaning
- Use a soft brush to wipe the inner wall, water outlet and other dead corners with cleaning solution. Stubborn scale can be left for a longer time.
3. Rinse Multiple Times
- Rinse all parts 3 times with clean water, run idle for 1 hour after installation (discard ice), and ensure no residue.
- Recommended cleaning frequency: clean once a month, and increase to once every two weeks in hard water areas.
