I like glitter. On everything. When the quote "I eat glitter for breakfast" started, everyone I know brought me some type of merchandise with that saying on it.... because I do. When I opened the jar and dipped in the brush it looked like every other glitter "paint". Then I dragged the brush across the shoe. There's never been a paint like this. This picture is of my test shoe, that's why it's a mess. More importantly, that purple glitter there, is just one coat! (on canvas) ONE COAT! I could not believe my eyes! If you want glitter on your project, this is where you get your glitter coat from! This is where I'm getting all my glitter coats from now on! This is just magical!

It's on I guess. Not what I thought. The acrylic paints aren't held with the finisher either. It will crack or chip without the finisher & even chip with the finisher. Also I got the finisher in matte & it ends up looking like a slight gloss which is not at all matte. I ordered the duller as suggested to make it more matte but it leaves streaks.

I used these paints to revive some old boots for a costume of mine. They worked GREAT! The glitterlites paint is SUPERB. If you're into costume making or a fashionista looking for a way to jazz up some old shoes this is DEFINITELY the way to go.

I've put this on a couple of items. On the first item, it went on a little thinner than I expected. So I chatted with Sal here at Angelus & he assured me that this was normal & to just apply another coat with long steady strokes. Sure enough, after another coat or 2, my product was fully covered and absolutely beautiful! The best part: little to no flaking and no annoying glitter all over everything. My second product didn't go as well....and this is the ONLY reason that I'm not rating 5 stars. When I opened up the bottle, the product had dried out quite a bit. It had more of a solid consistency and was very difficult to apply. I kept dipping my brush into some water just to hydrate the product again (wasn't sure what else to hydrate it with) and this seemed to work out as a half decent solution. But the end result was nothing as nice as my first product. I don't know why it dried out so quickly. I suggest using the contents within 2-4 weeks of initial opening.
