Can not be played as is out of the box. It you can do a set up and intonation on and electronic guitar then this is a great buy for under $60 shipped. The tele type guitar I got has a beautiful 3 color sunburst finish that I was really shocked by. Guitar needs huge adjustments but sounds good now.
