I usually don’t detail tires because dressings just don’t last long enough. With the 2-3 month longevity, it made the whole,e cleaning process worth it.

Easily my favorite tire dressing I have used. For me, the main things I wanted to see in a product are time efficient, relatively easy to use, and provide a pro level result—which I a lot to ask! Ghost really delivers! It cannot be overstated how important the prep is for the initial application. ADS has a nice video from Bradley on how to do it, but important point is to really clean like you have never cleaned before! Many users I believe have a bad experience by not doing this step properly. It is even more important if you have older solvent dressings that can be tough to fully remove. I did 3 rounds of ADS Tire Cleaner with heavy scrubbing followed by two wipe downs on dry tires with Stoner Tarminator. It is a lot of work, but getting the first application correct is key. I initially went with 3 coats on one car and 2 on another to test it out. After first doing all this, I wasn’t so excited about how much work it took, but there is good news! First, the durability for Ghost is incredible. I went through multiple maintenance washes with just my foam cannon prewash and soap on the wheels which left them looking like Ghost had just been applied. After a few months, the tire started to dull a little. For the subsequent Ghost application, I did a round of Tire Cleaner and then a single application of Ghost and looked amazing again. So, despite the work required for the first application, I consider this to be very time efficient in the long run because it makes washes fast, great durability, and subsequent applications are as easy as any other tire dressing. As for the results, I do think 2 initial coats is ideal if you don’t like a lot of shine and 3 if you want it glazed. It does cure and level a little more after a few hours. The 2 coats is a tad more shine (satin) but the second coat gives you much more even coating. It really does level out pretty quickly though. The first application is little more work to get even but subsequent applications (and re-applications) are much easier. The best thing is that it is dry as a bone in just a few minutes! I love this because I have a bunch of small kids and the greasy solvent covered tires always end up on hands and clothes! This stuff is as dry as a dressing can be. I am not a pro, but just a few things that I learned: Watch out for getting on the wheels. I think this is “safe” for most any wheel finish, but does dry and leave a film on the wheel. It isn’t terribly hard to get off if it does dry, but easier to wipe away when still wet. I just used a damped microfiber with rinseless wash. It will actually dry on the tire quite quickly and still not set wheel on the rim, so you can come back in a few mins and just easy wipe the wheel rim without messing up the tire coating. The second thing is regarding applicators. I’m sure everyone has their favorites. My personal experience was that using a microfiber applicator left it a little splotchy (maybe user error). A foam applicator was ok but made it a little tricky to get evenly into all lettering and textures on the tire. My absolute favorite was a tire brush applicator (Carpro Darkside Brush), which gave a nice and even coat easily fitting into the small grooves and lettering. Whatever you use, the applicator will be ruined as soon as the dressing sets up so be sure to throughly rinse quickly after using! I just drop my brush into warm detergent in a cup until I can clean it out well. Lastly, it will also dry up in the sprayer if you use one. Bradley suggested removing the spray head and spraying it out into the bottle so the tube is empty. For me, I actually put on a pop up top and pour it out, which was easier for me than spraying.
