I tried the system 2 seperate times, following the directions precisely. The polish chipped after 1 day of wear.

No different than regular polish. I do everything the way it says to do it, and yet it doesn’t even last a full 24 hours. Within 5 hours atleast 3 of your nails will be chipped. I got this because I was fed up with how fast regular polish chipped, this is just as bad.

This kit didn’t come with prep pads. Wondering how come some kits have both prep and polish remover pads while others don’t. The gel polish (not only this) smells kinda weird and strong.

I really had no idea what I was doing, but jumped right in. My first attempt lasted about ten days before any chips. I think it will pnly get better as I gain experience.

It took a few tried but I finally got it. Nails have to be super clean. I used rubbing alcohol towelettes from Costco to clean the nail bed. Applied a thin layer and so far so good!

The color is really pretty. I’ve ordered several other gel kits and colors at Christmastime for gifts and for myself. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but, the two gel polishes I’ve tried thus far peel off after only 2-3 days? I file the edges & tops, trim my cuticles, use the remover pads to clean them and do a thin 1st coat and set with the little UV light one nail at a time, then the same with the 2nd coat, polish each nail, put it under the UV light, and then the next nail until all 10 are done. I did purchase the clear top coat and will try that next.

I applied it incorrectly the first time, didn’t rough up the nail surface. As each nail has come up, I’ve reapplied after roughing up the nail surface. They seem to be sticking better. They’re not smooth at the tip and they kind of wear off at the tip pretty quickly. I assume it’s still part of the learning. The glittery polish is very forgiving of my poor skills and bumpy nails.

Two words: BASE COAT. I too struggled with peeling and chips even after carefully following the instructions. I bought young nails gel base coat and used that before my first thin color coat and painted as normal. I’m one week in with NO chips and NO peeling. And I have a two month old and a two year old and work as an artist so I am always using my hands and my nails. I love love love the little lamp and I will be buying more colors. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is I feel strongly LMM should create a base coat and include it with the kit.

Cute and super easy to use. My only negative is that the polish doesn’t self level and it’s difficult to make an even application. I’ve been painting my nails for 30 years and I’m good at it. So I know it’s the product and not the user. Maybe something to keep in mind while making new polishes. The polish stuck really well. No chipping. I do have the clear top coat as well, that one peels very easily.
