I was used to my Retrospekt refurb'd 635's and my modern Now's shield staying on the pic till i flipped it off. That was clearly not the case with the 660's shorter shield. Ribbit...🐸

when installing the new filmshield. Now when I take Polaroids on my 660 sun, the filmshield is able to stay on the polaroid as it ejects and is helping the quality a lot. I love it!

Needed this to replace the smaller shield on my vintage camera. Works like a charm and my photos are turning out much better!

Product description
This film shield fits all box-style 600 and SX-70 cameras. Some slight modifications may be required for impulse 600 models.
The film shield is an important part of all Polaroid cameras. It is an opaque sheet of material that extends out of the camera over the photo as it ejects from the camera. It is designed to protect the sensitive film in the critical first few moments as it exits its light-tight cavity inside of the camera and enters the world that is filled with light. While all vintage Polaroid cameras come with a film shield installed, sometimes it is necessary to replace it.
