I bought this for my 5 year old and while she usually loves the Eloise books, she found this Tonie hard to understand. I think the speech is too quick and it’s hard for her to follow Eloise’s usual nonsensical words.

I really wanted to love this for my four year old, it’s unfortunate the narration is not performed well. Not only is the voice from an older lady which for Eloise doesn’t make much sense, the narration seems rushed, monotonous and not read like a story. My daughter was upset nonetheless, please try again with this Tonie.

I really wish Tonie would do a new narration for the character Eloise! It is such a great book/movie and the fact they had an old lady narrate this is so sad... gosh it could've been soo good!

My 5 year old couldn’t listen to it for more than a minutes. She said it was boring. Mostly because Eloise sounds like an old lady, she said; and I have to agree with her. It sounds like an adult. Not a little girl.

We love this Tonie! My daughter had never read any of the Eloise books but she’s now obsessed! Eloise is a brat(warning) but the story is funny and my daughter (5yo) listens to it on repeat! It’s funny.

This Eloise Tonie sounds nothing like the movie. The narrator is horrible and does not sound like the real Eloise at all. It’s hard to listen to. Tonies could have done much better choosing the narrator since all of the other Tonies sound like their movie.

This is my 2-year-old son's favorite Tonie! I got it because I loved the stories growing up and figured he might enjoy them in the future. He has 17 Tonies of all ranges, including his favorite show characters. Eloise is always hus first choice.

I’m sorry, but the voice acting for this is Terrible. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing this one. My six year old can’t understand the story because of the voice and neither can I. Such a shame, because she would have really enjoyed the story otherwise.

So, this one is partly on me. I didn’t realize they let you listen to a clip of it before you buy. We can’t stand the voice of Eloise. We literally couldn’t even finish listening to the story because we found her so awful!!!! One of our favorite tonies is the “we are going on a bear hunt” and they were able to find child voice actors or adults that at least sounded like kids. Why can’t they do that for this one? They had a grown woman with a super terrible voice trying to imitate a child. They took 💯 of the fun out of the story with this by making her annoying. This was my all time favorite as a kid so maybe I had high expectations? Just so disappointed

I remember living this story when I was a child in the 50s. The story still holds up today. My granddaughter is not familiar with hotels like The Plaza Hotel in New York, but she is very amused by Eloise who gets into much mischief.

We’ve not heard it yet, because it’s to be a Christmas present. But it looks great. Our little Eloise will love it!
