Step-by-Step Usage Guide for Accurate Blood Glucose Readings
Wrong:
Applying blood to the recessed surface (with protective membrane) blocks siphon action, causing test failure, meter damage and wasted strips
Right:
Touch one blood drop to the strip’s tip recess; siphon action draws blood in smoothly for accurate results with no overflow or damage
To ensure your test results are precise and reliable, please follow these steps carefully:
·Prepare for Testing
·Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water, then dry completely to remove any contaminants or moisture.
·Select a finger and disinfect the fingertip with a medical-grade alcohol wipe. Allow the alcohol to air-dry completely before proceeding
·Set Up Your Equipment
·Install a new lancet into the lancing device and adjust the penetration depth (1–5 levels) to match your skin thickness
·Insert a fresh test strip into the meter, ensuring it is fully seated and the device powers on automatically
·Collect the Blood Sample
·Puncture the disinfected fingertip. Gently squeeze the base of the finger to form a small drop of blood
·Important: Wipe away the first drop of blood with a clean tissue. Use the second drop for testing to avoid contamination
·Gently touch the test strip’s end groove to the blood drop. The strip uses siphon technology to automatically draw the correct amount of blood
·Do NOT smear blood onto the strip—this will directly cause measurement deviations
4. Obtain Your Reading
·Keep the strip in place, result shows in 5 seconds.
