At 54 I went through menopause and my long thick hair started to disappear. I started using different store-bought products that were in gel or mousse form to help thicken my hair and most contained alchohol. I did not see any improvement and actually my hair looked worse with using these products. When I started doing research, I found that the alchohol in these products was actually creating further damage. While on a business trip in Destin Florida I visited a spa and had my hair cut and styled and the technician used Living Proof products on my hair. The technician used the Thickening Blow-Dry cream and I was pleasantly surprised. Since that Spa visit, I have been purchasing this product and now at 65 my hair is long and luxurious with this product and other Living Proof products.

It was suggested that I skip mousse in the winter and switch to a cream as mousse was drying. I was trying to find something in a cream that would add volume and can be used with a hand held dryer. I would buy again.

Based on the site recommendation I purchased the thickening cream to replace the discontinued Full Thickening Mousse. What a waste of money. The mousse gave me thicker feeling hair, lots of body and volume, the thickening cream did nothing for my hair. I certainly won’t buy it again and will have to look for another mousse .

I apply this on clean hair together with the Root Lift spray. I style my hair with my Dyson air wrap and I can achieve a perfect bouncy blow dry that lasts all week! I have long hair and use a fifty pence piece worth massaged in. My hair menopausal hair looks and feels in great condition!

For me this product just wasn’t great. Hair felt slightly thicker but felt a little lank. This was with using a small amount of product. Doesnt compare to aveda phomolient, nothing else I’ve tried does though.
