Great, stretchy and comfortable. The only issue is side seems tend to be weird so the seem ends up wrapping to the front of my body instead of straight down the side. Not sure if it’s a quality control issue or what, but it’s been the case w several of my mtn ops wool shirts and it’s a bit annoying as they aren’t cheap

This is my favorite hoody to climb and hunt in. I wouldnt walk through any thick brush in this hoody unless you have to. Its easy to strip down or layer up before bushwhacking. If you buy this i would recommend getting a second as a backup.

I was looking for a light weight merino top. As a Christian and veteran I wanted to try their gear and support like minded people.. glad I did! I bought 2 of these hoodies and they are perfect. I’m 6’1” 225 and the xl is perfect. Length is spot on and I love the thumb loops. I bought some other products that also delivered, I’ll be a return customer no doubt.

It’s hard to find women’s outdoor apparel without sacrificing either fit or quality. As the men’s line offered an XS option, I ordered a few to try. For reference, I’m 5’3” + 120lbs, the men’s x-small fits like a women’s small/medium. I’m typically a women’s x-small/small, so it’s a little big but I like the quality enough to keep. Asking for the girls: can you make a women's line?

After my previous review about the durability, not expecting to hear anything, I received an email from customer service wanting to make things right. They went above and beyond what I would have considered "making it right". That's something you just don't find these days... I would still give caution on the durability, rest easy knowing Mountain Ops values their customers and will help you out if you have any issues.

6'3" 170 lbs and a large was a perfect fit. I agree with a lot of the other reviews, the battleground hoodie is super comfy and the perfect layer for when there is a slight chill in the air, but breathes well when it gets a little warmer. The durability is lacking though. I wore it off and on around the house for a week, but the first time I wore it hiking I wore a small hole through the sleeve where it rubbed on my wrist watch. If it were a little more durable I would have given it a 5 star review, but after paying $100 for a shirt, I would expect it to be able to handle rubbing up against my watch. Great piece of clothing I have tried a lot of major brands merino and they dont hold up this is soft, seems to hold up well. My biggest and only complaint is no camo options that’s a real bummer for me.

6’2” - 185 lbs. Nice and tight around the arms and wrist, but plenty of room/stretch around the chest and the hood. Could do without the chest pocket because I generally use this as a base or second base layer. Zippered hood is a great touch, functions as a neck gaiter when fully zipped. Haven’t had for long so I can’t speak on durability.

Size large. 6'0 , 180lb. Fit is snug on the arms but a little loose on torso and waist. Afraid a medium would be too small, whereas a medium would be perfect for the t shirt version for me. Hood component is great. Can't wait to use for September elk hunting. Worked great as base layer for çold November whitetail hunting too. Better for early season given thickness level. Absolutely softest shirt I have ever owned. Also was expecting the brush color to be a little lighter, but still like it! A desert brush color would be a great addition to the mix.

I have the Loden XL 180gm Merino Hoodie. Probably one of the best lightweight merino base layers that I own and I have Kuhl Merino and IceBreakers Merino(all solid products). What I like most about this particular hoodie is the built in and hidden thumb hole feature at the sleeve to wear when you need some extra warmth on the hands. As base layers go I recommend the lightweight to add to any other layer you put on( you do not want to over do it on layers) on cold days and nights the lightweight adds to the warmth just fine. I highly recommend this hoodie. Well worth the money. The zippered breast pocket is the only feature that is irrelevant to a base layer IMO and could care less that its there. I say take that feature away.

MTN OPS apparel is not just throw-away promotional products. The battleground merinos are my favorite merino hoodies I have ever had. And trust me, I have tried many. I like the thicker one even better but they're both excellent.

Nothing beats merino on the mountain. The top is lightweight, breathable and WARM. Perfect to layer in to an all-weather system or just rock around town in!
