For baby gifts for members of my church, I had previously been able to buy a product that was a first Bible storybook for babies-toddlers, and it was made with very sturdy cardboard pages and large pictures. I liked it a lot. But it went out of print. So in my search for a replacement baby gift, I found this one. It will have to do, since it's the best I could find. But I'm disappointed that it is smaller (4 3/8" x 6" x 3/8") and the pages are the thinness of an ordinary book. The artwork is tiny and delicate with pastel colors, rather than big and bold. I'm not sure what baby eyes can focus on, but this isn't what I would have chosen if I had better options. The text that goes with each Bible story is fine. Each story is 4 brief lines in a nice rhyme. There are 19 Old Testament stories and 22 from the New Testament.

We love this little book! We use it in our "New Baby Baskets" at our church. It's great because it really gets used! Children tend to love rhyming books and will ask them to be read over and over. What better way to get the great stories from the bible into the hearts of little ones than a rhyming baby bible?!

When I read the story of Jesus welcoming all children, my grandson gazed at the picture with interest. So we read three more stories together! It was the highlight of my visit with him.
