I have 4c hair and as a licensed cosmetologist I believe it would be useful for at home use. It got my hair fairly straight just as a blow dryer. It didn’t get all 5 stars because I realized your hair has to be mostly dry for it to work best because the blow power is low. I have normal to high porosity hair so my hair drinks water. I did multiple small section passes to no avail. After towel drying and letting my hair air dry some it worked better for me . Check out the picture for results
