I haven't used these yet but I intend on storing food in them to keep possibly long term and the seal on the lid looks to be just what I need. I'm certain they will serve their purpose excellently.

I finally got to use my buckets and find them a great buy, easy to use and I had no trouble getting the lids on with a mallet, got a nice tight seal. Then I used my lid opener because I forgot to put something in one of them. I had some trouble with a different bucket and lid combo and ended up giving them away to someone who had more strength then I do. I returned to buy 4 more sets of these buckets. The fit, the quality are very good.
