During my last move, I lost my last kettle. Completely bummed me out, cause how I'm I supposed to make my oatmeal now. Did I saw this little one on this website similar to my old one and just had to have it. And you know what? This was probably the best purchase I made in months. Well, this and actual food for myself of course. Either way, it was worth it.

I have had my Farberwere tea kettle since it was given to me as a wedding present in 1986. It looks a little different from the newer models, but still works great! It still whistles!! I was using it this morning and thought I should write a review.

I really do not like that I must keep the spout cover opened manually, that it doesn't have a "locked open" position as my previous, 40-tear-old Farberware kettle did. And I really do miss the older kettle's triple-whistle, which was wonderful. So sad that I tossed the old one.

This kettle is a safety hazard! It never whistles, so when you open the spout to pour a cup it shoots boiling water out at a very dangerous speed shooting hot water all over. I almost got burned! I TOSSED IT.

Tea kettle arrived fine. Tea kettle description states that it has a lock-open cap. The tea kettle delivered does not have a lock open cap. I sent a support ticket to request they refund shipping charges but no response to date. Support ticket status says pending.

Never received it. The one star is for the worst customer service ever. Have TRUE THREE tickets and have never received a response, only acknowledgement that the tickets were received and that I would hear back in 1-2 busioness days. The first was TRUE a month ago. Called, no one to speak with, automated message said to submit a ticket online. They're kidding, right? Used to love Farberware, but I'm done with this company, just awful!

it heats well, it looks nice, BUT the whistle doesn't always seem to want to whistle, unless you "pop" the whistle cap on. if you close it gently, the next time it doesn't whistle
