I fell for the hype. And I like it, but with one very big complaint: the side pockets meant for things like water bottles are practically useless if your backpack is full. They have zero give to them and are attached flat, so the bulk of your bottle has to be absorbed into the body of the backpack to get it into the pocket. I'm just baffled that someone would approve that design. It's all form and no function.
The rest of the bag is good and the wide opening is the star. A key loop would be nice, and I wish the zipper pocket was closer to the top. Overall it's decent.

Love/hate it. Loved the color and size. Loved the texture and waterproof material and how big it opens at the top- made it very easy to get things while traveling. I took this bag as my personal item on a quick trip to London. What I hated specifically related to using it as a personal item. The trolly strap had zero stretch and that made it very difficult to put over the luggage handle, to the point that I gave up trying. The second thing I hated also related to stretch (or lack thereof). Both outside side pockets are too small for a water bottle if the bag is packed because there is zero extra fabric and zero stretch. They were essentially useless. I think I used one for a power bank. But even that was difficult to shove in when the pack was full. So as much as I wanted to love this bag for travel, it missed that mark. However my daughter is moving to Northern California for school where it gets more rain, so she is taking it as her rainy day bag, and it will be perfect for that in all ways. It really is a beautiful bag. Add some stretch in a few areas and it could perhaps be the perfect personal item for travel!
