The mat is very thick, maybe around 2 inches thick. Comfortable to use on the floor so joints are not pressed on thin mats. The mat is firm enough, but cushions. There is a pic of me standing on the end, I am 170 lbs
I got the Lg , I wanted to go with the Xl but wasn’t able to due to room. However, I will say the box came with significant damage which had me worried but none to the product. Took a few hours to put together, it’s sturdy, heavy and looks nice. Fits my Dalmatian/Rottweiler and 5-6 month old lab.
I am a single mom. It was really easy to put together for me. You just need a screwdriver cause it’s not included in the box. My son got it for his eighth birthday and he absolutely loves it. It was really easy for him to get on and learn if they know how to ride a bike that means you know how to balance. I just had someone help me carry it to my apartment but other than that it was pretty easy.
