At first I got 26 regular thinking that they wouldn’t be that long but I had to return them due that they were really long after I returned them I got 26 short which are the one showing in the pictures from waist is perfect just that if you are under 5’0 ft get short.
Size down if you want it to fit your wait with no gapping. My waist is a 25-26, 120lbs 5,8. My legs are longgg. I first ordered size 24 and they still gapped at waist, I got a 23 and I squished into them but they had no gapping and fit how I like with being tighter on waist and butt.
