This is what lavender actually smells like.
Our lavender essential oil is a field blend of Lavandula angustifolia and Lavandula x intermedia, grown and steam-distilled on our high desert farm in Central Oregon's High Lava Plains. Planted by us. Harvested by hand. Distilled in small batches on our farm in Bend, Oregon. Nothing added. Nothing synthetic. One oil, one origin.
THE SCENT
Herbaceous and green at first, with a floral sweetness that opens as it warms. There is a slight woody dryness underneath, especially from the x intermedia varieties, that keeps it from reading as sugary or artificial. It smells like the plant at harvest: dry, alive, a little sharp, then softer.
BOTANICAL DETAILS
Botanical names: Lavandula angustifolia and Lavandula x intermedia Origin: Bend, Oregon, USA Method: Steam distillation of flowers Aroma: Herbaceous, green-floral, woody, dry Field blend of over 10 lavender varieties, grown on our farm
HOW TO USE
For the volcanic stone diffuser: Add 5 to 8 drops directly onto the basalt lava stones. Let the scent disperse naturally through the day. Reapply as needed.
For the shower steamer: Add 3 to 5 drops onto the stone before your shower. Steam activates the oil through the porous stone.
This is a 100% pure, undiluted essential oil. It is not formulated for direct skin application. For a skin-safe lavender option, see the Farm to Diffuser lavender roll-on, pre-diluted in sweet almond oil with vitamin E.
WHAT IT PAIRS WITH
This is the same oil included in the Farm to Diffuser volcanic stone diffuser kit and the volcanic stone shower steamer kit. When your original oil runs out, this is the refill. It is also the base note or a key ingredient in several of our blends, including BALANCE, COMFORT, RESTORE, SOOTHE, and INHALE.
