This Brighton Park design draws from the neighborhood’s layered history. At the center, the rail junction represents the train lines that once carried goods through the area, connecting Brighton Park to Chicago’s larger industrial network. The horn-shaped frame beneath the banner nods to the nearby stockyards and the generations of residents who worked in the meatpacking plants that helped define the neighborhood’s working-class roots.

Botanical elements—corn, cactus, and marigold—reflect Mexican cultural symbolism and the communities that have shaped Brighton Park’s identity. The color palette also incorporates the blue stripes and red stars of the Chicago flag, tying the design to the city itself.

Together these elements form a small emblem of Brighton Park—where industry, culture, and community meet at the same crossroads.

A portion of proceeds from the Brighton Park design is donated to Legal Aid Chicago to support free civil legal assistance for people and families across Cook County.
