First introduced in 2018, the LOEWE Basket bag reimagines traditional Spanish basket-weaving techniques through the lens of modern luxury. Designed under Jonathan Anderson’s creative direction, it honors LOEWE’s heritage as Spain’s oldest luxury house (founded 1846) while embracing artisanal craftsmanship and contemporary minimalism.

Design Concept: A sculptural fusion of utility and elegance—inspired by rustic market baskets, refined into a structured, architectural silhouette with clean lines and intentional asymmetry.

Materials: Hand-dyed natural raffia straw (sustainably sourced), full-grain Spanish calfskin leather (vegetable-tanned), brass hardware, cotton-lined interior with internal zipped pocket.

Packaging Dimensions: Includes branded dust bag and rigid signature box (32 cm × 24 cm × 15 cm). The bag itself measures 28 cm (W) × 20 cm (H) × 12 cm (D), with a 14 cm handle drop and 55 cm removable shoulder strap.
