Emmy Moore thought she had it all—a successful career as a physical therapist and a thriving restaurant she co-owned with her husband, Steve. But when their marriage falls apart and she discovers Steve’s financial mismanagement has left her in ruin, Emmy is forced to close the restaurant and return to her small hometown of Whiskey Ridge. She’s there to deal with her eccentric mother, Pauline, who has been kicked out of the local retirement home for her outrageous behavior.
To make matters worse, Emmy is the only physical therapist in town, and when Nash Collier, the man who broke her heart years ago, returns to Whiskey Ridge after a rodeo accident, she’s forced to take him on as a patient. As the two are thrown together in close proximity, old wounds resurface and unresolved feelings come to light. With the classic return-to-hometown and forced proximity tropes, Emmy and Nash must navigate their past while deciding if they’re ready to give love a second chance.
