The author argues that acknowledging Ottoman Rum cultural achievements and recognizing the foundational role of Rum individuals in Ottoman civilization offers significant cultural and geopolitical advantages for modern Greece. It is the only literature that directly links the cultural ownership of the Ottoman Rum heritage to a concrete, modern-day geopolitical advantage for the Greek nation-state.
