You have to think macrohistorically -- about phases of civilization like the Greeks, the middle ages, the Enlightenment, and the information age -- to really comprehend this book. The identification and explicit explanation of passive income, and the four modes of Life (the quadrant) changes -- has changed -- the world.Kiyosaki's fable of Rich Dad Poor Dad is the exact Jungian vehicle to introduce these concepts to civilization. The only people who don't read, or don't "get" this book -- are poor people."Poor" in the sense that they simply have no understanding of money, and (hence usually) have no money. In 100 years, "money" and all economic concepts of work, wealth, social interaction, will be completely different from today's paradigm. The start of it all, is this book.

from reading the best book you can get your hands on if you trying to make the transition of figuring out what to do with a small savings account, or large for that matter. This book is invaluable to anyone looking for layman's terms on how to understand money. I am a multi-million dollar selling real estate agent selling property to investors every month. This book taught me information that I did not before understand, but is helping me help my clients and myself more. For anyone who is having a hard time making the transition from saver to invester, this IS THE BOOK. The March 16th and March 28th reviewers are those types of people who find no joy in their own accomplishments, therefore need to trash others. This author teaches you basic, sound principles that you can actually put in to action. The Millionaire Next Door is a theory book about how the 'Jones's' are simiply looking good while they are in debt. While also a great book, it does not teach you principles that you can actually put to use. Cash Flow Quadrant and Wealth Without Risk by Charles Givens are two of the best books in helping you put your desires in to actual steps with instructions and 'how to's'. They may be boring to the EXTREMELY experienced investors, but for us normal folks its the best resource I've read yet. My bookshelves are lined with 'kindling' to use in the fireplace, but this one is a keeper!

This is a must reading for every member of my family. I will buy the book for all our grown children to have as part of their libraries for future reference as well as immediate reading. I've recommended it to many people.A clear cut discription of what the finanacial world is all about and how it operates and how you can be part of it, if you chose to. I firmly believe our children should be taught these principles in school instead of some of the accounting courses they now get--I've been there and found out. The world system is taught backwards. Learn to get out of debt and stay out of debt is the only save way to real wealth and our children are taught the opposite. This is a must reading if you really want to become wealthy.

This book is as great as its predecessor, "Rich dad, poor dad". It's not only about money, but about psychology, politics. Mr Kiyosaki has a special talent to clearly explain difficult things. If you want to have fun and learn important things, read this book. I am going to buy all the books written by Mr Kiyosaki !

This is a book that will help you to find your own path to financial freedom. It discusses why it makes more sense to be a "business owner" or an "investor", as opposed to being an "employee" or "self-employed".The author also talks about the importance of buying or building a business system which would generate "passive" income(money earned from income producing assets).i found this to be one of the most impressionable CONCEPTS found in the book. All in all, a great book that's an enjoyable read!!

This book is a must read. My husband and I have been increasing our net worth through real estate for several years. This book helped us realize the potential we were missing because we have been too busy working for other people. My husband does not like to take the time to read books so I purchased "Cash Flow" the game, he understood exactly what the book outlined by playing the game and watching the video.

This book provides valuable insight about what people should be doing to prepare themselves for their financial future.-Many are not.Mr. Kiyosaki describes 3 methods for achieving financial independence. The one I was surprised to see in there was Network Marketing. But Mr. Kiyosaki doesn't say just any network marketing vehicle (lord knows there are a lot of scams!). Mr. Kiyosaki writes about finding the right opportunity in network marketing and outlines criteria for properly evaluating network marketing opportunities. This is a great book for anyone seriously interested (and with an open mind) in starting their own business.

This is a great follow-up to RICH DAD, POOR DAD. CASHFLOW QUADRANT goes into much greater detail and will help you come to a better understanding of why " the rich get richer and the poor get poorer". The concepts are very simple and yet this is the first book that I have read that teaches anyone how to become a business owner or an investor in simple terms that anyone can understand. It is totally new information on the market, not a rehash of hundreds of other books on finances. Mr. Kiyosaki's discussion of the importance of " business systems" as opposed to a great new product or idea is worth the price of the book. I have also had the privilege of hearing him speak on two occasions and would give him 5 stars on his public presentations, as well as his books. If you are frustrated with your financial situation in life after reading lots of self-help and financial books, as I was, I highly recommend CASHFLOW QUADRANT. I believe it will change your life as dramatically as it has changed mine.

This book should be a manual for all people who are now beginning to understand the economic changes that are taking place world wide. I thought I had a grip on finance and how money works. Was wrong but now gaining great insight into how to become wealthy. It is true that the wealthy get wealthier. This is due in part by their willingness to take in new and important information. I have read both The Cashflow Quadrant and RDPD. Have gained great knowledge about money by playing the game Cash Flow. Looking forward to getting and playing the advanced version. If I could give one suggestion, make sure you give a copy of The CashFlow Quadrant to your kids and any college students who are about to graduate. It could possibly save their financial lives.

This book is excellent for teaching you the fundamentals of acquiring personal wealth. Despite earlier reviews finding fault about the numerous times that certain principles are repeated, some people need to hear these principles over and over again in order to learn (There is an old cliche that states: "Repitition leads to automation."). I find that this book functions as a way of counter-conditioning what we always thought about amassing great wealth. The obvious objective of this book is to try and get the reader to buy Kiyosaki's board game, Cashflow. With all it's board game hype aside, this book is still worth twice the price just for the clear and conscise (as well as repetitive) way that Kiyosaki teaches about how the rich think. Developing the mindset of "the rich", as labeled by Kiyosaki, is crucial to becoming very wealthy.

This book is the second from Robert Kiyosaki who tells us how to make the move from being dependent on an employer or a self employeed business to a business owner with a system to allow us to leverage our time and money to become financially independent. Ultimately, one can become an investor for long-term security for generations. It explains in very clear language, how anyone can begin to make the move from the left side of the quadrant to the right. This is simply a book that I feel will be an absolute classic for people looking to develop a life style the very rich had only been able to enjoy.

This book is designed to work on your emotional and mental approach to financial well-being and should not be expected to be a "How To" book.As the author states in the book; there are plenty of step by step books out there but few if any deal with the misconceptions and fearsone deals with when trying to learn about money and becoming rich.At first I was disappointed that this book didn't hold my hand and show me what to do every step of the way.But after reading it, I realized that it's approach is useful: You have to change your frame of mind regarding money and how youlook at your life, your spending habits, whether you accumulate debt for frivolous things or for assets that will help provide you income. Why do 80% of lottery winners wind up bankrupt within 5 years of winning their millions? Because they haven't changed their approach tomoney and spending. So, if you want to learn a different, more effective approach to money and riches, this book is a great start. If you're looking for a step-by-step plan to become rich, you'll probably be disappointed in this book.Michael D WalkerOwner, [...]

This book expands the philosophies and techniques Robert Kiyosaki learned from his "Rich Dad" and applies seven steps toward the end of the book on how to obtain the goal of financial wealth. Though you may not want to start out homeless to work you way to millions (Don't quit your day job just yet) as Mr. and Mrs. Kiyosaki did, Mr. Kiyosaki explains in a fascinating manner how risky being an employee in a safe secure job can be and the benefits of owning your own business and the progression of becoming an investor. For those who are looking for the "Get Rich Quick" formula, this book along with the predecessor "Rich Dad Poor Dad" are not the books for you. Go to Las Vegas or play Lotto instead. This book forces you to look at your current situation and makes you think on what steps are needed to obtain your future financial goals. Hence the "Cashflow Quadrant." If you love where you are financially, then this book may be a waste of time. If you feel a need for a change then I highly recommend this book. However please read "Rich Dad" first.

This would have to be the most inspirational book I have ever read! It opened up my eyes to the real world of business and finance. After I read this book I did not want to go back to work. Anyone who is disenchanted with his/her 9 to 5 job must read this book. You will never look back!

This is the first book that has clarified and shed light and direction to where we are and why some of us in the world look for and behave the way we do. This is an inspirational book for those who are disillusioned with their direction, why we sometimes struggle in life and don't seem to get the riches in life that we so desire. This is a must for those who want some clarity in their lives but more importantly, the book, based on the quadrant helps us to understand and identified ourselves and bring out the desire to where we want to go and head towards.

This is actually my favorite of the Rich Dad books. Cash Flow Quadrant will reveal why some people work less, earn more, pay less in taxes and feel more financially secure than others. It is simply a matter of knowing which quadrant to work from and when.Cash Flow Quadrant will also answer some questions like:* Why do some investors make money with little risk while most other investors just break even?* Why, in the industrial age did some parents want their children to become medical doctors, accountants or attorneys.. and why, in the information age, are these professions under financial attack?* Why do most employees go from job to job while others quit their jobs and go on to build business empires?* What is the difference between an employee and a business owner. And why is that so many of the brightest students from our universities want to work for college dropouts....dropouts like Michael Dell, Bill Gates, Ted Turner and Richard Branson? Dropouts today who are the mega rich of society.Cash Flow Quadrant will help answer some of these questions and also assist in guiding you to find your own path to financial freedom in a world of ever increasing financial change.Cash Flow Quadrant is for you providing you are ready to:* Move beyond job security and find your own world of financial freedom* Make deep professional and financial changes in your life* Move from the industrial age to the information ageCash Flow Quadrant made a profound impact in my life and I am sure will do the same for you. All you have to do is read it and apply what you learn. If on the other hand you are looking for a "safe", "secure" job and expect your employer to take care of you, then then this is not for you.Great book RTK. In my opinion, your best book to date.

This is a great follow up to Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Kiyosaki and Lechter break down Kiyosaki's "rich dad's" teachings into a simple to remember grid. Refreshingly in our get-rich-quick, lottery culture, the authors say there's no short-cutting the process. These principles helped my wife and me become debt free in less than three years!

This book is a fantastic sequel to "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". While the first Rich Dad book laid a great foundation and provided some high level direction, this book took what I had learned and added to it. There are some repeat "lessons" but they tend to go more in depth and have different examples that help me have a better understanding of the concept. In one of the books RTK uses an example of the financial education that you need to be financially free and compares it to the foundation of a building. These books are helping me lay that strong foundation. As a side note, I listened to the audio CD version of this book and the only things I didn't like were the speakers voice (very robot-sounding) and the fact that every time he mentioned a particular quadrant, he had to say both the letter and name of the quadrant... this got a bit tiresome and a bit Sesame Street sounding (ie "B, Business", "I, Investor").

The clear key to financial success does not reside in the possession of assets. Instead, in order to financially succeed, one must have a system where there is a strong level of cash flow that surpasses his or her level of expenses. The next step is the reduction of expenses. But since we all know that the reduction of expenses is limited by our actual fixed expenses (mortgage, rent, car payments, phone bills) then the focus must be on establishing a system where our level of cash flow is always positive and is always increasing to the point where it enables us to be able to rely on it for our financial well being. This is the same concept clearly proven and verified in other classics such as the Millionaire Mind and the Millionaire Brain. These two books also demonstrate that in order to achieve financial success you need to have a realistic and practical system that will get you there. In Cashflow Quadrant the idea of developing your cash flow with a reliable system that is sustainable is perhaps the most important idea that many investors and entrepreneurs seem to miss while building their financial net worth.
