I keep Valerian in the Med cupboard for the "freak-out days." The days when my stress level borders on the hyperventilating zone. A few drops work very effectively to calm me down within 20 minutes. For me, that is amazing and so helpful. As a PSTD survivor, I just need that crucial moment to get myself back from the stress threshold far enough to remember to meditate or go for a walk... don't use when you will be driving if it makes you sleepy - it doesn't have that effect on me, just relaxes.
