Handled my splitting maul that I forged myself using this handle. The handle is beautiful, no knots in it and the grain is oriented well. The length is exactly what I was looking for and the handle feels good in the hands. My only (very minor) complaint is that the part of the shoulder where the wedge is driven into is a little on the shorter side but that may have had more to do with my hand forged head. Overall would buy again if I need to replace my handle.

That's what my vintage Kelly Axe Mfg Co 5.5lb axe head is saying! I'm just beginning to work on that, now that my WR handle has arrived. I sent Brandon a note asking when the 36 curved handle would be back in stock. He replied right back that it was due in early July and I should get on the notification list. He also picked the correct handle for my application. Well I got the notification and even got the anti prime deal as well. This handle was very straight, sanded smooth and had just enough excess to make a super fit. I am very happy with this purchase. I took his advice and got the walnut shim. I like it even though my placement of the brass casing was a little off center. Thanks again whiskey Creek.

Even though I selected a grade B handle, it is far better than replacement handles I have bought in the past. All previous handles were from hardware or big box stores and the only option was straight or curved. I chose a model with eye measurements appropriate for my head. My installation is solid. Grain and shape are great. Eye size was as described. I replaced two other handles as well on my 6 lb splitting mail and 2 1/4 lb boys axe. All three were great.
