Rubber mounts typically last 30,000-50,000 miles. Polyurethane versions can exceed 60,000 miles but transmit more vibration.

Excessive engine movement, clunking during acceleration, and increased vibration through the foot pegs and handlebars indicate wear.

Basic mechanical skills and a torque wrench are required. Support the engine properly and follow the service manual torque specs.

Some manufacturers consider engine-mount modifications warranty-voiding. Check your owner’s manual or contact the dealer.
