The drill bit itself is a nice and sturdy, but the starting part of the thread is not beveled or angled, so it wouldn't go deep at first. Hubby took a pair of pliers and pointed the tip if the thread down just a slight bit so that would grab hold, and my goodness it makes the perfect hole!

Great price and it works great. I move it around to check my different plants. I would’ve definitely overwatered by now and my plants are thriving I also used it to check the pH of my garden soil I’d highly recommend this!

This product worked like magic got 70 holes down in less than 30 mins. These holes were for plants on rocky sand soil it’s literally the toughest soil to get through without this auger and I recommend this one to anyone who is building a fence or planting plants 100% the best.
