I'm just barely 5' and around 135 with thicker thighs. I run long distance and typically go for the shorts with those second inner layers BUT these shorts did way better! They didn't rise up at all, they have an adjustable string and they are very breathable! Pockets with zippers on both sides too. I got a size Medium and they fit great. Definitely would recommend and will be purchasing other colors.
