Using Batteries: Open the battery compartment door at the bottom, insert 6 (1.5V “C” size) batteries correctly according to the orientation shown inside the battery compartment, then close the compartment door. 2. AC Power: Plug one end of the AC power cord into the AC power jack of this product, and plug the other end into a 120V household power outlet. Note: This product can only use the AC power supply voltage indicated in the manual or on the casing.
Playing CD/MP3
You can play standard CDs and MP3 CDs, as well as CD-R and CD-RW discs. WARNING: Do not attempt to play DVDs or data CDs. You may damage your device. Slide the function switch button to the “CD/MP3/USB/BT” position to turn on the CD player. An “CD” indicator will appear on the LCD display. 2. Press the "Function Selector Button" repeatedly to select CD mode, if needed. 3. Press the OPEN/CLOSE area on the CD door to open it; the "OP" indicator will appear on the display. 4. Insert a CD, label side up. 5. Close the CD door by pressing the OPEN/CLOSE area. Wait a few seconds; playback will start automatically, and the total number of tracks will appear on the LCD display.
Playing USB flash drives
1. Slide the function switch button to the "CD/MP3/USB/BT" position to turn on your boombox. 2. Press the Function Selector button repeatedly—press it 10 times—to select USB mode; the “USB” indicator will appear on the display. 3. Connect the USB flash drive to the USB port. Note: Ensure that you fully insert your USB drive into the USB port. 4. Press the "I" button to play/pause playback. 5. Press and hold the 10+/10- button to move back or forward one song at a time. 6. Press the STOP button to stop playback, and the total number of tracks will appear on the display. 7. When you have finished listening, slide the Function selector to the OFF position to turn off the unit. WARNINGS: Do not remove the USB while playing to avoid process errors.
Headphone Jack Operation
Connect the earphones through the headphone jack; then the speaker output will be cut off automatically.

The speaker is surprisingly powerful! It’s amazing how clear the sound comes through. I bought it because it looked like a compact AM/FM radio and I was looking for a nice all in one radio. This is the one! I love the retro style. Only comment is I wish it were a little smaller — but this is still smaller than a lot of other retro AM/FM radios out there.
