It's sustainably harvested and ideal for creating blackwater environments. It provides beautiful textures in the substrate when used with your shrimp, bettas, or tetras. The shape of the bark creates necessary hiding spaces for smaller fish and microfauna who love to hide, spawn, and forage amongst it. Our True Cinnamon Bark from Sri Lanka provides valuable tannins, essential oils, and humic substances that condition the water; something we botanical hobbyists have grown to appreciate. Note: this bark does not require preparation. Our cinnamon bark is true Ceylon Cinnamon and not Cassia Cinnamon, meaning it is free of coumarins.
