Purolite MB3710 is a ready-to-use mixed bed resin combining strong acid cation and strong base Type 1 anion exchangers in 1:1 chemical equivalence for ultra-pure water production. Pre-purified to ensure high percentage conversion and delivered in a controlled particle size range, this 1 cubic foot box is engineered for pharmaceutical manufacturing, semiconductor processing, and high-precision analytical equipment where conductivity and silica leakage must be minimized.

HOW IT WORKS

Three-Stage Ion Exchange Process

Strong Acid Cation Exchange

Strong acid cation resin removes positively charged ions including calcium, magnesium, sodium, and other dissolved metals from the water stream, replacing them with hydrogen ions

Type 1 Anion Exchange

Strong base Type 1 anion resin captures negatively charged ions including chloride, sulfate, nitrate, and critically, silica, replacing them with hydroxyl ions to combine with hydrogen ions and form pure water

Ultra-Pure Effluent

The 1:1 chemical equivalence ratio ensures optimum exchange capacity, delivering low conductivity water with minimal silica leakage suitable for pharmaceutical production and sensitive analytical instruments

Application Requirements

Purolite MB3710 is designed for deionization vessels requiring 1 cubic foot of mixed bed resin media. Ideal for pharmaceutical water systems, semiconductor manufacturing, power plant makeup water, and laboratory applications where reliable ultra-pure water is non-negotiable. The resin arrives in H/OH form and is ready to use immediately upon installation. This is Purolite model 93571-01, also cross-referenced as NRW-37 or NRW37 in legacy documentation. Ensure your vessel is appropriately sized for 1 CF media volume and that upstream pretreatment (sediment, carbon, RO) is in place to maximize resin service life and performance.
