I purchased this book because of the author 's unapologetic passion about music. The book delivers on that passion and is easy to comprehend. I am a tenor Sax player couldn't be more pleased. Well written and organized. Great headings and mental tricks to understand notes and the grouping of notes.

Easy to read easy to understand the concepts! As a novice at music theory alot of the teachings were easy to understand and honestly made alot of sense.

As someone who has played for many years, this book is an eye opener. It really explains things very logically while remaining relevant to the more traditional approach to music theory. Allen applies logic and simple reasoning to show the reader how to understand theory.

I am enjoying this book very much! The lessons are very helpful to internalize the knowledge. Allen makes learning easier with a no nonsense approach. I took music theory classes years ago in High school and this has refreshed my knowledge and taught me some knew knowledge as well. Get it! Its Gold

As a drummer since 2002 who didn’t learn to fully read music, I am truly amazed at how well written this book is, and how easy it makes everything to understand. The illustrations are fantastic and I’m going to let my daughter read this as well since we have so many instruments around the house.

Absolutely amazing book. Really helps simplify a lot of concepts. Even as a professional musician with a vast understanding of theory, this book really helped me teach concepts easier to students. Plus a lot of the concepts just make more sense. 100/10 book.

I am quickly consuming this incredible book that uses an honest and simple method of explaining music theory in a way that is easy to understand. I'm learning about traditional theory, but given tools that make understanding and applying it way easier than the traditional way. It's a cheat code.

This is a great book for breaking down how to make sense of a lot of the music theory examples and because the author comes at it from my guitarist perspective, it’s not limited to the keyboard or old school theory examples. Really well done. I’m enjoying my read through.

Wonderfully written book that is unfortunately riddled with AI art slop around every corner. It’s such a shame because the content of this book is gold but it’s hard to get past the AI art. Disappointing that the author didn’t hire an artist or attempt to design it themselves.
