This is my absolutely favorite summer squash and has been for 50 years, but you can no longer find it in the grocery stores. So it is with much joy that I look forward to growing it in the summertime. Whether sautéed or steamed or hollowed out a little bit and stuffed with your favorite foods, it will for sure bring you joy. I’ve even sliced it in half and grilled it . Healthy and diet friendly. A+

I was planting for one person, and sowed 4 seeds. 2 very strong plants are producing gangbusters right now, both are the green variety in the mix. I love them so much better than zucchini. I definitely recommend for short season climates as well.

Planted three in ground for my first time and doing well! One is the green variety, but produced some strange double blooms/fruit morphed in one stem several times. The other is possibly the smaller yellow variety but pollination has been unsuccessful to see for sure sadly. The 3rd must be an oopsie mix up in the packet or a genetic whoops as I've got mini white pumpkins and I don't own any white pumpkin seeds! Kind of a fun surprise to see what you get, definitely didn't expect a pumpkin tho. A nice bushing plant if you want squash but don't want to deal with the crazy vining (with the exception of the pumpkin of course). The green variety is delicious stuffed!

I bought the seeds last year and I had yellow patty pan and this year, I got the light green/white patty pan and a dark green one - it's so fun to plant and be surprised! This was on two separate plants, not two varieties/same plant. Looking forward to chopping and grilling with garlic olive oil. I've bought from Botanical Interests for years and even more now that Kevin/Epic Gardening owns the company - excellent quality seeds every time! The zucchini in the photo is also Botanical Interests (Emerald) that I let grow too long, oops.

Have had great results from all Botanical Interests

Love the Epic Gardener. I have learned so much and continue learning. Love the seeds, all the information on the packets is amazing.

I started the seed in organic composted soil. planted the seed water the seed, it was kept under a light layer of mulch as ALL of my beds are and it did not germinate. not 1 seed. I have never had that happen before with Squash seeds of any kind. ! disappointed to say the least.

Came up and the deer ate it, so I can't really give it a rating

The Patty Pan Squash has really taken off. They are very healthy looking plants with lots of flowers right now. I anticipate having the squash very soon!

I planted these same seed last year and was well pleased. I currently have some of these seed up and close to blooming.

Fast germination, sturdy plants. BI is my fave seed vendor now

These are going to be a trial variety for me this year!!

Germinated quickly but too soon for anything other than a first true leaf.

I loved pattypan squash the last time I grew them, so when these came on sale I snapped up a packet. They germinated within a week of planting. Though it's still far too early to harvest, I'm pleased with the speed with which my order came and the seedlings look healthy so far.

This was my first year trying this variety and they were excellent. I decided to try these because I hadn't had much success with other brands, and I'm glad I switched! They produced all summer long, more than I've ever had. No disease or pest problems! The taste was amazing. Simple to grow and an abundant harvest!

Grew well and was really healthy, but not good for a small space gardener if you're trying to maximize yield. TONS of male flowers and very little fruit.

Implanted these seeds on three separate occasions during the early spring (Feb-Apr) this year and to my disappointment, nothing grew. I even tried germinating them indoors in a ziplock bag with a napkin and some water (remember elementary science?) and still nothing. I think I got some bad seeds. I am so very sad. I hoping these would provide a bumper crop for our family.

These squash are delicious. The germination rate is not as good as some of the other squashes I bought from BI, the plants grow a bit slower, and they are not as productive (squash per plant per day) as other varieties. But if you do not mind a bit of fussiness, these are wonderful.

These seeds germinated without issue but produced very few fruits which is unusual for squash.

While we enjoyed the novelty of this fun-shaped squash, it wasn't as prolific as we had hoped. Then again, neither was the zucchini this year. I still have seeds left. Maybe next year will be a better summer squash year.
