For the most part, I do not purchase oils for their smell. I have enough of them where I love the smell and so I'm covered. All the other oils I have purposes for, whether for grave concerns to discomfort or bug repellent and what have you. I got the myrrh mostly because I knew its name from the Bible. I am so very grateful to have found Eden's Garden! First I was with an MLM and it was very pricey while my income only gets tighter. At first I moved over to Rocky Mountain Oils, until I realized their prices were really not that much better than Young Living on many oils. What a letdown! They are both reputable companies as far as I can tell with overall good oils, but with Eden's Garden I truly feel I have found the best of both worlds both in quality and price. The myrrh smells quite nice to me (though I would not think of it as something to use for its smell -- but I may change my mind as I come to know this scent better). It is one of the oils that is recommended for helping to relieve itching, and it does seem to be helping with my (itching) psoriasis, which often has gotten severe enough to keep me awake at night. I have combined it with shea butter, mango butter, coconut oil and evening primrose oil as the carrier along with peppermint and clary sage essential oils. Is working for me! Mixed With francinsense this I one of my favorites to put on topically. The smell is amazing and this oil will be one I will keep buying and using daily!

I had to buy this because, I have Frankincense so I must have Myrrh to go with it. Many reviewers say they don't care for the smell but I love it. It reminds me of old wood antiques somehow. The castles that my parents took me to as a child...when I smell Myrrh, that's what I think of. But to each his own. Aside from loving the scent and the way it blends so well with others, I am using it along with Elemi in a Jojoba carrier oil. I'm in my 40s so my skin needs moisturizing everyday. I put this mixture on this morning without adding my usual store-bought goop on top, and my skin has not felt tight or dry all day. It still feels moist and my complexion looks brighter and clearer. I do believe I'll be buying a bigger bottle next time!

This is high quality oil at a good price. I've tried many brands. With a drop or two, you can gently exfoliate dead skin off with your finger tips (think of your fingerprints as exfoliators) . I've also used it to treat ring worm, blended with lavender and coconut oil. I'm very pleased with the quality of Eden's Garden oils. The smell is musky, but that is the nature of Myrrh. Try blending it with Neroli for a more "feminine" smell.
